| Y can i not post Posted: 6/15/2006 8:29:07 PM | Common reasons for your post not showing up are:
- with the exception of this forum, new members must wait 3 days
- thread might be locked/ check the subject line or the last few posts for a note to that effect
- you're posting special characters like an "@" sign
- restricted website filters
- more than two posts within the last 10, with little to say
- other "naughty" word filters
- you're hitting the cancel button rather than the post button, they're right next to each other
- it may have been subsequently deleted by a moderator if it was contrary to the Acceptable Use & Posting Rules or any of the following within the FAQ (these links are posted at the top of all forums)
- 13 characters minimum also

"yeah me too"
it won't be enough words for the system to accept the post.

| Y can i not post Posted: 6/16/2006 8:21:52 AM | ^^^^
Forgot, 13 characters at least ...... thank you!
|
| Y can i not post Posted: 6/16/2006 6:00:21 PM | | This is one that's happened to me: when I've trie to hit "post" the bottom has been stretched out, so I've hit "cancel" by mistake. | |

Et voila!
This always works for me, if the "posting" "stalls".
EDIT: Had to do it for this post.

| Y can i not post Posted: 8/24/2006 1:04:22 PM | | my gf just joined and cannot post does she have to wait 3 days to post even if its not a new thread? | |
|
| Y can i not post Posted: 8/24/2006 2:26:03 PM | | yep 3 days for newbies... so they can read the forums and get hang of how they work and the rules. | |
|
| Y can i not post Posted: 10/6/2006 3:31:08 PM | | i don't agree with the more than 2 posts within the last 10, with little to say. i have been here for almost 2 years and i never have a lot to say. i keep my responses short and to the point. i had more than one person talking to me, so it could be possible that i would respond more than 2 times. so if i had 3 people talking to me, i can only answer 2 of them that makes no sense to me. | |
|
| Y can i not post Posted: 10/6/2006 3:34:06 PM | so if i had 3 people talking to me, i can only answer 2 of them that makes no sense to me.
gather your thoughts, quote each member you are replying to, and answer both, or as many as you wish in one post,
- problem solved. Many people have adopted this style.
|
| Y can i not post Posted: 10/6/2006 7:18:41 PM | Its not fair. i have the same problem. If I have something to say I would like to post it but I guess these people have other ideas. Pat | |
|
| Y can i not post Posted: 10/6/2006 7:23:21 PM | ^^^^^
Its not fair. i have the same problem.
Same solution applies to you - "read" one post above yours.
Addtionally from the Forum Rules Specific, first thread in every forum:
F) Any Thread that has More Than (2) Two consecutive Messages by Only (1) One single Individual within a 24 hour Period, will have their excess posted messages deleted unless they are corrective Edit-Action posts. (This is also known as "Sequential Replies", or posting (2) Two Replies in a Row. Please allow Others to Reply before you post again.)
too frequently we were seeing multiple sequential replies, and not just 2, monopolizing an entire page, it gets somewhat disjointed watching someone replying to 4 and 5 other posters in a row without allowing others to interject .... use of the quoting feature allows you to gather your thoughts and make one nice concise answer addressing more than one poster.
If you don't know how to use the quoting feature, click here --> HTML Help, Bolding, Quoting etc..

| Y can i not post Posted: 10/8/2006 12:10:22 PM | Hi, I read your rules and regulations on posting, but I still don't understand why my new forum kept deleted. I did not use any bad, nasty, or non-sense words in my forum, I just asked if anyone can tell me where I can meet an other female friend without going into the bars scene? Thanks
See the section with respect to Contact Broadcasting yourself in the forums --> Acceptable Use & Posting Rules - If you wish to meet friends, use your search function to find suitable matches or attend one of your local events by visiting the Events Thread in your local forum - Forum Moderator

| Y can i not post Posted: 10/9/2006 10:39:59 AM | | That one would have been deleted by the public for redundancy. It has been addressed many times before. Use the "Search" option and you will find plenty of answers to your question. | |
|
| Y can i not post Posted: 10/14/2006 1:44:29 PM | I can "post" just fine, the problem is my post doesn't appear - Why ?
I tried hitting the POST/Reply button on the first post in the thread I want to participate in. When I was done I hit the POST button. My screen refreshed to the last page of the thread but my post wasn't there. Then I tried same steps but posting to the LAST post in the thread. Same result.
I'm gonna see if this one shows up ?????
The thread I was trying to post to isn't locked. I'd hate to look like an idiot, if suddenly all my repeated attemps to post showed up at once - jeesh
|
| Y can i not post Posted: 10/14/2006 2:26:30 PM | There's a minimum of 13 characters to post. Don't use the @ sign. | |
|
| Y can i not post Posted: 12/27/2006 9:31:42 PM | | that is exactly what happened to me. I posted regarding a very embarrasing date that included a huge piece of meat and choking and heimlich manuever. I clicked on the post button.. it seemed to have accepted it, but it never showed up. I am new to this site and not sure what I am doing wrong. Of course if I am doing something wrong what am I wasting my time typing this when it likely won't show up either. | |

| Y can i not post, Posted: 2/14/2007 5:29:10 AM | | Hi im new to this and have never posted a forum, i am trying to post a Question in the forum and cant realy figure it out. enjoy your day... | |
|
| Y can i not post, Posted: 2/14/2007 10:42:41 AM | bman -
first do a thread search using likely key words, to see if your question has been asked before. if it has, add your comment/question to that thread.
if not, start a new thread. go to the all forums page. pick the appropriate forum for your question. at the top left corner is a button that says "new thread". click it. then post your question, making sure to use a descriptive heading that summarizes your specific question.
check out this FAQ first.

| Y can i not post Posted: 2/28/2007 1:48:23 AM | I love the fact that 3 days must pass before I may post in the forums, It's so hard to figure out how to click on links and browse through the different sections. I don't think I could figure it out without these upcoming days.
I really hope there is better reasoning to why 3 days must pass, of course I'm not shelling out any cash so I've(we've) no right to complain.
IMO a better cover story for the 3 days would be to fish out the 'unsavory'. As for me though, all joking aside. It's their rule, and of course I've no quarrel with the rule makers. I would like to know why this is the case though, unless the previous post about learning the site is true of course. Either way, I will see everyone in 3 days (well its more like you will see me)
