| IF YOU WON THE LOTTERY......
Posted: 4/16/2004 11:05:25 AM | I think buying a modest home in the backwoods or on an island would be a first. Then I would buy a motorhome and travel the world, and of course giving some away to family and friends.
The best thing about winning would be never having to eat those stupid packages of noodles again.......those 4 for a $1.00 things! It would be shrimp and lobster and steak everyday!!!! | |

Posted: 4/16/2004 11:32:46 AM | I would buy a good house in Northern Georgia. Then I would wait until the paperwork was finished for legally changing my name. After you win, this is one of the first things that you would want to do. It tends to keep the people who want you to give them money away.
After that, I would get an RV and travel cross-country. Then, I would put more into my business. | |

Posted: 4/16/2004 12:26:30 PM | by a huge house.....hire a decorator.....go to the car lot. buy a nice shiny leather smooth suv.....go to the travel agency. but a ticket for a cruis e around the world.....go to the best shps and spend a fortune in cruise clothes.. go to the kids stores ditto...
pay off my parents debts.. and my brothers and my close friends buy them a new car.. or pay thier bills....
take my family an a fun vacation to hawaii.. rent a nice house on the beach.....
on my trip around the world.. house hunt for new homes maybe one in the carribean.. and one in europe.. maybe in paris or england country side....go to sctoalnd to trace my heritage
once home agian hire a chef and eat salmon and steak and kfaft dinners every dya!! | |

I'd return to college full-time and finish my degree......25 yrs later.
I'd travel to Europe, South America, New Zealand.....places I've always wanted to go to.
During which, I'd try to figure out what I ultimately would like to do with my life, and make that happen. | |

Seriously, After all the usual stuff like pay off bills and buy presents for my friends, I would buy old run down buildings in cities and either fix them up to luxury levels and charge really cheap rent so some people can live in a better style that they wouldn't normally be able to afford. I would also just buy empty lots and turn them into parks and play areas, you know..a place where ppl can bring their dogs to run free...that sort of thing.
I would also give lots of people a break, like if they're >< this close to bankruptcy, help them out. And I would invest in some business ventures that I think is a good idea, but nobody else would touch....if the situation is right, of course..

then I would go to sleep for a year, and live off pizza, and rootbeer floats.
I'd go fishing during the days, and hang out with my friends and play pool at night and when spring came after my first year of just relaxing, I do something really cool, like go pick up my friends carlie and carole in australia and take them with me to london, cause they are the closest I can get to vicariously living a party life, but while they are shopping away my money on shoes that look exactly like shoes they already have but a slight shade more white or something...
I'd go to vienna, and just walk around and talk to people.
I'd go get a leica M4p, and a couple of old leica lens and a small tripod, and 500 rolls of Tri-X 400 and 100 film (no T-max) and I would mail boxs of film home to alaska so I could develope them later when I got home.
then when I got home, I'd go to the bank and start retirement funds for my brother and the various kids of my family, and college funds, except if they grew up to be idiots they wouldn't get anything from me.
they may be family, but I am not giving money to a idiot ever.
I know a bad investment when I see it, so if they dropped outta school or something they're off the list.
then I'd go home, spend another year hanging out in my little house in the middle of no where and just develope my 500 rolls of film from vienna and london, and do some more fishing and hang out with my friends and play some pool until next spring, till I found somewhere else to go.
oh yeah, and eat more pizza and root beer floats. | |

I'd be setting up trust funds for family members...they could live off the interest, and then it would revert back to the estate when they die, to be used to continue the trust funds for generations.
Of course I'd keep about 10% right from the start for "mad money"....go nuts buying stuff, like a house, or building one to MY specifications. (includes indoor toilet, a "moving picture box" and eveything!) | |

even if he did give peace a chance....i would not want to be THAT Close...
if i won the lottery i think i would want to buy a nice house in greece....tiny house....not big...because i would never be there...it would just be a place to eat once in a while...
Most of my time would be spent on a sail boat(yes i do know how to sail...i spent a long time in Navy Cadets...NO IT IS NOT ARMY CADETS! I NEVER NEEDED TO KNOW HOW TO SHOOT A GUN!)...And i would love to go around you know...the Agean sea...some thorough and around crete and Rhodes and up through Hellsponot...and you know out through the medetarian to cyppress and maybe into Hafita once in awhile...actialy more then once in a while
I think the only time i would return to land is when i ran out of food...so i dont think i would even need a house...just the boat...a stack of books some papper for writting stuff and thats it...
