Ok, I saw in another thread that guys want girls who are confident.

What does it mean exactly.

Does she have to LOOK confident?
Or is it the things she says?

Can you explain please?

For me confidence is part of attitude. A woman can be confident and never say a word. Its how they walk, how they carry themselves.

I don't know if I can describe it accurately, its the same way a guy has confidence. The ability to ask questions, to admit they don't know something. In bed it is easy, because a confident woman knows what she wants, will tell her partener how she "likes" it. In the everyday world its different. There is a fine line between confidence and ego, and it must be walked carefully. Hope that helps but I know its vague.

Confidence is a complete embodiment of a person.

Confidence shows in the way one talks, the way one walks, the way one looks at you... there is no 'one specific' thing that comprises this.

So, the only thing I understand in those answers is that it's a personal point of view of the person.

On a basic level I think that is correct. Everyone has their own views on what is what. But I think we could all agree that confidence entails viewing ones POV as important. People that sit and listen through a date may just be good listeners, but not asserting ones beliefs in a conversation could be viewed also as lacking confidence. Someone who orders a steak welldone and it comes back rare may eat it without any satisfaction, when they should complain and get it done right. However they lack a degree of confidence to see their needs met, especially for something they paid for, they may view their need to appear respectful more important. There are many levels of confidence I look for in a woman, in my case it revolves around self-respect, if they respect themselves then they usually would like to see right done by them, rather then suffer on small and unimportant issues, and moreso the larger ones.

When a confident woman walks into a room, she doesn't WONDER if the men are looking at her... she KNOWS the men are looking at her. She involves herself in conversations even if it is to say "I am not familiar with that, could you explain it to me?" ...meaning that she is secure enough to admit that she doesn't know everything. She can also admit when she is wrong. She thinks before she speaks and looks into his eyes when she is speaking. She isn't jealous or intimidated by other women because she understands that every woman is beautiful in a different way. She has goals in life and isn't afraid of taking a risk. She knows that she deserves just as much pleasure as her partner and isn't afraid to guide him, and/or ask her partner what he likes and how he likes it. A confident women knows that she deserves to be treated with kindness and respect, and refuses to accept anything less.
She isn't egotistical in believing that she is above anyone but she is confident enough to know that she isn't below anyone.

Hope that helps!

If I'm talking to someone I have no interest in, don't care about, will never see again etc

and juxtapose that conversation with

a beautiful woman that I am hoping and praying will be attracted to me, think me witty and want to have my children -

The difference between those conversations can be informative of my fears and insecurities-

Confidence is an attitude.....a woman who speaks her mind and could careless what people think......a woman who knows what she wants and goes after it...a woman who walks with her head held high because she is happy with who she is....a woman who expects respect and will not put up with anything less.

I think it is how you carry yourself.
Cofident in who you are, and not worried about what the world thinks of you.

confidence applies to both sexes: meaning you feel good about yourself, your place in the world, your abilities to enact change and achieve your goalsand take on new challenges, that you're a lovable person, a good person fundamentally....so just apply these to any sort of work, sports, relational or social activities and that spells confidence in my books.

cheers

This is what I found:

Confidence

3. The state of mind characterized by one's *reliance* on himself, or his circumstances; a feeling of self-sufficiency; such assurance as leads to a feeling of security; self-reliance; - often with self prefixed.

3. The state of mind characterized by one's reliance on himself, or his circumstances; a feeling of self-sufficiency; such assurance as leads to a feeling of security; self-reliance; - often with self prefixed.

I believe is an attitude that shows you feel comfortable with who you are, what you know/don't know etc..

Hope it helps.

Confidence, a brighter picture.
Confidence, smiles a lot.
Confidence laughing frequently.
Confidence, chin is up.
Confidence brisk walking pace.
Confidence, does not need high heels.
Confidence wears blue jeans and sneakers instead of a dress.
Confidence, average weight to very fit.
Confidence doesn't show any sign of smoking.
Confidence wears hair the way they like, and doesn't force too much makeup or perfume on themselves.
Confidence, when you meet them, they are willing to share with you anything you ask without hesitation, and are willing to even answer questions before answering them!
Confidence, lives on their own, has their own job or works for someone that keeps them able
to take care of themselves.
Confidence, is able to drive.
Confidence, is not afraid of nerdy men.
Confidence, is able to commit without being afraid.

Of course if I found all of those things in one person, I'd be asking them out on a date.
I've tried to ask a few who have most of these attributes with very limited success, and nothing that has
gotten me someone who wants to get married, or do anything committed.
