Posted: 6/29/2006 10:38:15 PM | | I MET THIS MAN ON POF AND WE CHATTED EVER OTHER NIGHT FOR ABOUT 1 MONTH WE FINALLY DECIDED TO MEET FOR A COFFEE DATE WHICH WENT VERY WELL. HE GAVE ME A BEAUTIFUL HUG WITH A KISS ON THE CHEEK AND EVEN HELD MY HAND THE LAST FIVE MINUTES OF OUR DATE, I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS MAN HAD A VERY BUSY LIFE STYLE, MY QUESTION IS WHY WAS THIS MAN ALWAYS COMPLIMENTING ME AND EVEN SAYING THAT I WAS GIRLFRIEND MATERIAL, AFTER OUR FIRST DATE. I TRUELY FELT SOME TYPE OF CONNECTION WITH HIM FOR SOME REASON. WE THEN CONTINUED CHATTING ON TELEPHONE AS WELL AS ONLINE QUITE FREQUENTLY FOR ANOTHER 2 MONTHS AND AGAIN WE HAD A QUICK DATE AT THE BEACH IN WHICH AT THE END OF OUR DATE HE KISSED ME ON THE LIPS AND HUGGED ME ABOUT TEN TIMES AND THE REPLIED AND SAID WE BETTER GET GOING BEFORE I TAKE YOU AT THE BACK OF MY VAN. IT IS NOW 4 MONTHS LATER WITH ONLY 2 PHYSICAL DATES AND I WAS QUITE FRUSTERATED BECAUSE I REALLY WANTD TO GET TO NO HIM ALOT BETTER AND IT SEEMED IRONNIC THOUGH THAT MY PROFILE STATED FRIENDS HIS STATED DATING. WITH ALL DO RESPECT TO HIS BUSY LIFESTYLE TWO PHYSICAL DATES WAS NOT ENOUGH PHYSICAL CONTACT FOR ME. I VERBALIZED MYSELF TO HIM AND I TRULY FELT HE AGREED AND UNDERSTOOD, UNTIL I FINALLY GOT FED UP OF INVITING HIM OUT ONLY TO BE TOLD HE WOULD CALL ME BACK TO LET ME KNOW AND THEN I WOULD GET A REPLY A FEW DAYS LATER WITH AND ANSWER THAT ONE EITHER HE WAS VERY BUSY OR HE HAD ALREADY MADE OTHER PLANS. I THEN GOT SO FRUSTERATED WITH HIS BUSY LIFESTYLE AND LEFT HIM A MESSAGE STATING THAT COULD YOU PLEASE CALL ME I BELEIVE WE REALLY NEED TO TALK I DON'T CARE WHAT TIME IT IS, AND I THEN SAID IF YOU CANNOT CALL ME BACK TONIGHT WE MAY AS WELL GO OUR SEPERATE WAYS, I STAYED UP UNTIL 1:00 AM AND THEN DECIDED TO E-MAILTHAT SAME EVENING A FORUM MESSAGE THAT INTREGUED ME THAT STATED WHY MEN DON'T CALL BACK, THE NEXT DAY FROM WORK I RECEIVED AND E-MAIL FROM HIM STATING THAT MAYBE WE WERE NOT ON THE SAME PAGE AND THAT HE ALREADY COULD NOT FULLFILL MY NEEDS BUT THAT I WAS A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN THAT DESERVED THE BEST AND THAT HE WAS SURE THAT I COULD OFFER A GREAT DEAL TO A RELATIONSHIP .HE THEN STATED MAYBE WE SHOULD READ THE WRITTING ON THE WALL AND GO OUR SEPARATE WAYS. wOW COULD NOT BELEIVE MY EARS. iTRUELY BELIEVED THAT HE WOULD UNDERSTAND WHAT I WAS FEELING,HE EVEN STATED THAT HOW DARE I CRITISIZE HIS MANHOOD. I THEN FELT A NEED TO CALL HIM AND ASK HIM WHY THEN IF WE WERE NOT ON THE SAME PAGE DO YOU KISS ALL OF YOUR DATES 10 TIMES THE WAY YOU DO WITH ME HE THEN RESPONDED AND SAYED WELL ALL OF MY FEMALE FRIENDS I DO HUG THEN I THEN SAID THE WAY WE DID HE THEN REPLIED WELL NO NOT THAT WAY!! THEN HE SAID I HATE ALWAYS FEELING GUILTY WHENEVER YOU APOLOGISE TO ME ABOUT SOMETHING HE SAYS i SHOULD NOT HAVE TO FEEL THAT WAY! AND THEN SAID MY NEXT APPPIONTMENT IS HERE. i REPLIED TAKE CARE WELL I GUESS THIS IS IT!!!! WAS I BEING UNREASONNABLE THROUGHOUT THIS WHATEVER YOU CALL IT, AS WELL DOES ANYONE BELEIVE HE WILL EVER CALL ME BACK ????? ADVICE NEEDED | |

Not to say you aren't a pretty lady, you are, but maybe not his cup of tea, he may make a good friend you never know.
But, with behavior like this, you won't be happy, and will always be wondering and second guessing.
Find someone who will rock your world, with more than just a hug and a kiss, but with all the bells and whistles that go with a wonderful relationship.
Not all men do this, and yes some women are just as guilty also. | |

Not only is all caps frustrating the misspelled words really add the frosting on the cake. I don't mean to be harsh, but come on open your eyes girlfriend. The writing is on the wall and hopefully not misspelled. You simply refuse to take no for an answer.
Dude is probably married, unfortunately a lot of men are on these sites especially one that is free. No I do not think he will call you again and you are most likely much better off if he doesn't.
And by the way, I also couldn't get through the whole thing either, I sure hope you don't use all caps for everything you do on your computer.

Posted: 6/29/2006 11:37:16 PM | Two dates does not indicate exclusivity so I don't understand why you would conclude that or expect him to call back when you have issued an ultimatum to him. He didn't call and it is unfortunate that you waited around for his call.
He is looking for friends and appears to be an affectionate guy. I personally don't think he will ever call you because your expectations are not in synch with his. He shouldn't have said ... you shouldn't have said .... in the long run actions speak lounder than words and he is running from the smothering after two dates with you.
There are lots of fishies out there so take it slow or you will be scaring off a lot more dates. | |
