For every ugly person out there, there is another ugly person that has posted a pic of someone better looking. I would rather respond to the ugly person who is up front and honest about it. | |

Posted: 7/3/2006 5:12:49 AM | I reply to all emails, my thought is if someone took the time to email me, the least i could do is respond. Pictures are not everything. I've met a couple people who look absolutly nothing like thier pictures. When i ask about it, i get "well that was taken 3 years ago".
I just wish people would post a recent pic, not that looks are everything, but there has to be a physical connection for anything to go anywhere. | |

Posted: 7/3/2006 9:19:23 AM | That depends on what you are looking for. Friends? So who cares what they look like? A lifetime companion...they may not be to your tastes. Some pictures are very decieving. I answered a couple where the pics did not look anything like the person. Sometimes for the better, sometimes not.
Should give a class on presenting yourself honestly on these sites, and how to select a flattering pic of yourself to post.
Anyhow's, never hurts to respond to everyone, and at least let them know you did have the courtesy to read and write back. Shows you have some class, and are not just a shallow person. | |

Wow, that's shallow. Especially coming from someone with a photograph of a stone patio on their profile.
how is what you said different from what I said? and what relevance is my picture to what is debated?

You have to be attracted to someone you may potentially date, and the term "give him/her a chance" is suicide to the soul. You should never accept any less than what you want. If you go out with someone you aren't attracted to just to give them a chance or to be a nice person you may miss out on your ultimate catch and cause them to miss out on theirs. | |

And nearly all of the ones I send end up deleted, some don't even get read but are deleted anyway so I very seldom bother anymore. But yes, I ALWAYS respond because I know firsthand how frustrating it can be, it might take me a few days because I work a lot of long hours. If I'm not interested I'll always convey that in the most polite and tactful way possible. | |
