| NFL Fans. Posted: 7/5/2006 10:28:52 AM | | Hello everyone. I'm new to watching football and just wondering who everyone thinks is going to make some noise this year. I gotta hope my Ravens will do a lot better with hopefully less injuries and I know the Panthers are always on their A-game. Those are probably my two favorite teams. What does everyone else think? | |

| NFL Fans. Posted: 7/5/2006 11:19:12 AM | | Althoug im a huge Buffalo Bills fan i think 2 surprise teams this year will be the New Orleans Saints and The Arizona Cardinals. SuperBowl winner this year would be New England Patriots. I know all are long shots but all have made excellent off season moves | |

| NFL Fans. Posted: 7/5/2006 12:07:33 PM | | Dolphins won 6 in a row to end last season and now have a QB. Good defense w/ a blend of youth and vets, great coach, and good skill people on offense(Chambers, McMichael, Booker, Ronnie Brown). And........most important to any experienced Dolphin fan........no cold weather road games late in the season except Buffalo. Watch out for the Fins! | |

| NFL Fans. Posted: 7/5/2006 3:59:59 PM | NFC: Dallas: with TO, Bledsoe, Julius Jones...good defense, Witten at TE, Parcells.... NY Giants: will still be a contender with a stronger Eli Manning, still decent defense Carolina: with Delhomme, Smith, Peppers & a great defense Chicago: with their awesome defense, still questions on offense though Tampa Bay: with Sims & a great defense, Falcons??!! Surprise team(s): Arizona with Warner & 2 great WR's, James at RB Washington with Portis, maybe??!! Seattle should be contending again!!
AFC: New England: are always a contender with Brady & Belicheck, good defense Miami: with Culpepper, great defense, a focused team with Saban at helm Pittsburgh: they are defending title, still great offense & defense; Big Ben, Ward, etc. Denver: Plummer, decent team all around, but some question marks... San Diego: with a RB Tomlinson, great defense, Rivers is a decent QB too Indianapolis: awesome offense with Manning & WR's, better defense, signed Vinateri Cincinnati: Palmer & Johnson combo, defense is solid, the will to win under Lewis Surprise team(s): KC with that offense (LJ); Baltimore with great def & now McNair Jacksonville??!! dunno....

| NFL Fans. Posted: 7/6/2006 7:55:14 PM | | Three words...NY GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG-Men! Will take the NFC. You heard it here first. They will also meet Denver in the SB, a rematch of SBXXI | |
| NFL Fans. Posted: 7/6/2006 8:02:43 PM | On that note, Tampa is not that great. Aging D and Simms isn't his daddy. He's still years off being great. The running game won for them last year. As for San Diego. Philip Rivers is in for a big surprise, and a disappointing year. Everyone forgets he has yet to start a game. Sure it's his third year, but you don't just walk on and be a contender (unless your name is Brady, Roethlisberger, Carson, etc).
I see surprise teams as Philly (they'll finish second in NFC east), Arizona (talk about offense + Dennis Green), Baltimore (McNair breathes new life into that team), and Texans (yes I said Texans).

| NFL Fans. Posted: 7/6/2006 8:03:03 PM | | Carolina & Seattle are better than the Giants | |
| NFL Fans. Posted: 7/6/2006 8:07:10 PM | | So says every magazine I read. Little did they mention that the Giants beat Seattle three times in their own stadium (if it wasn't for the kicker), and Carolina was only better because the Giants were decimated at linebacker...that and Eli had a terrible game, which he learned from (being his first post season game...which most first time QB's suck at). I think the Giants will take the NFC. Just look at the tools. The only ? is the seconday, which they improved on in the off season. | |
| NFL Fans. Posted: 7/6/2006 8:08:37 PM | | watch out for those boys from Dallas.... hehe | |
| NFL Fans. Posted: 7/6/2006 8:11:38 PM | | As much as I hate Dallas, they look good on paper. TO and Bledsoe...that's gonna hurt. Hopefully TO blows that team up like he did Philly. That and I think Parcells is a turncoat after he left the Giants. I'll never root for him again. Worst of luck Dallas! | |
| NFL Fans. Posted: 7/6/2006 8:30:42 PM | alright i'm biased lol I'm a chiefs fan and i dont know how people can count them as not a contender. Yes the defense was bad..but Herman is here to save the day..he can do enough to move the teams D to about 12-15th in the league at least.
and i dont think people realize how many yards Larry Johnson is gonna get this year. That along with Tony Gonzalez and Dante Hall and Trent Greens numbers in passing. Its a team to look out for..especially when they are nearly perfect at home. People fail to remember that yes the chiefs missed out on the playoffs last year..but finished 10-6...and that aint bad with a 32nd ranked Defense lol
Team to look out for
Baltimore Jacksonville Dallas believe it or not...Arizona lol and Minnesota
| NFL Fans. Posted: 7/6/2006 9:12:35 PM | | Steelers. Until they A) don't make the playoffs. B) get knocked out of the playoffs. | |
| NFL Fans. Posted: 7/7/2006 12:12:58 PM | All u gotta know is cincy is gonna win it all .....Palmer the 3 Johnsons and housmanzada.....we whipped the steelers and we was gonna light them up until the cheap shot.....we can whip the pats colts and Kc and the jags so whats left nobody bet on t?e orange and black | |
| NFL Fans. Posted: 7/7/2006 1:01:11 PM | | With a healthy Palmer I think Cincy definately has a good shot. | |
| NFL Fans. Posted: 7/7/2006 1:45:12 PM | | Great teams overcome injuries...Cinncy hasn't shown they can do that yet. And the defense is very suspect. Playoffs yes.........Super Bowl champs.......not so much | |
| NFL Fans. Posted: 7/7/2006 2:07:51 PM | Palmer doesn't get injured on the second play of the game (a 70 yard bomb no less) and the Pittsburgh Steeler's aren't SuperBowl Champs. My top 3 for the AFC this year will be 1) Patriots 2) Bengals 3) Colts
One of these 3 teams will go on to lose in the SuperBowl to the Seahawks.
| NFL Fans. Posted: 7/7/2006 7:30:06 PM | | Styles knows what he's talking about ....his list is good | |
| NFL Fans. Posted: 7/8/2006 8:34:36 PM | | actually NY gmen is 4 words say it out loud lol. Anyways tired of the Saints getting no credit but they are probably one of the most improved teams this year | |
| NFL Fans. Posted: 7/8/2006 8:59:39 PM | | Saints should be solid this year with Brees, Bush, McAlister, & Horn on the offensive side of the ball......they should score their share of points, we'll see about the defense.........Surprise team could be the Dolphins, they finished up strong last year and with the addition of Culpepper they could be a legit Super Bowl contender..........We'll see. | |
| NFL Fans. Posted: 7/8/2006 9:40:04 PM | | saints are always average &/or don't cover expectations | |
| NFL Fans. Posted: 7/9/2006 3:35:15 AM | | as much as i cant stand the broncos i do believe that they have a chance at doing big things this year especially with there big new pickups in the off season. | |
