Posted: 7/6/2006 9:32:05 AM | | Am I missing something or are my settings wrong or what? Why don't men post any thoughts in the forums that have emailed me from here on POF???? It just really occured to me not one has ever put anything in the forums. Are men just by nature that way? Why don't guys check out the forums? | |

I see that all over on here. Like this one girl was with a guy while he was unemployed, he got a job and left her, lost his job, and is trying to get her back.. Now she's "confused" (lol) and one guy tells her "hey, he obviously loves you, I would take him back in a heartbeat!" | |

I hope I didn't disobey the rules, I just wanted to know why guys don't. It is a way of getting to know him. It shows who the guys are that aren't scared to take a chance by showing their true colors. Is it all just about seeing what girls will respond without really trying? | |

Getting back to the original posting I thought the same thing about many of the women checking out my profile. They don't have any posts as well. I wondered if they were hiding or if they are just too busy with replies to take the time to post in the forums. | |

1) I am probably much more likely to email someone who posts I read and liked, than someone whose profile I read and liked.
2) You list sex as an interest. So a LOT of men who are interested in that will email you, and they are interested in sex, not discussions, and hence not the forums.
3) You have a lot of interests that are active and action-oriented. So you will more likely attract action men, not talkers.
If you want someone with a mind, add that to your profile, and post some more. | |

Feel good about that OP, if I get mail from anyone not associated with forums, I sit and stare at it, like when Charlie got the golden ticket in the Wonkabar.  It does seem that once you become a routine poster ~ not many others email. I don't know why that is ~ and it could be just in my case, nevertheless that is my perception.  | |

Posted: 6/12/2007 4:20:13 PM | Count me among that rapidly growing 2%. Besides my profile, I know men and women read my posts. I get a lot of email regarding something I have written. Some good, some bad, but hey....any publicity is good publicity if that is what you're after.
Personally I always find the Forums in general a great source of amusement.
Any man I contact, I always read his posts to get an idea of where his common sense (or insanity) lies.
