| Favourites Lists
Posted: 7/6/2006 11:01:25 AM | Maybe a bit of a random question, but something I'm curious about. I've found that, when looking at a guy's profile, if he's on over 25 or 30 people's favourites lists, I think "Oh, they're likely out of my league, then." Probably stupid, yes, but eh, it's what I find happens automatically. So, the question is this:
Do you ever feel intimidated by a person of the opposite sex's favourite count? | |

1. friends I have made
2. potential matches
3. rejects
4. hotties/eye candy
5. funny profiles
6. those that I am pursuing.
Maybe that will help with decreasing the intimidation........way over half of mine are friends.....both male and females...but only I know that...on the profile it is just a number......who cares... | |

chances are he has many friends or has a hot pic up..if he goes to event's then again his number will go up !!!!

To answer your question, no, not intimidated by their favorites count.

Anyway, no it doesn't bother me. It used to then I realized that really, it meant sweet diddly squat. I use my list for events, keeping in touch, etc. If someone is kind enough to add me,I'll email them to thank them (provided I remember!!). Usually that gets me deleted though, must be the question about ice cream. | |

They may well have never even contacted the people on their lists. It may just be someone's way of saying "Hey, I have noticed you, and I like what I see/read about you."
So in answer to your question. No, I do not get intimidated by the number attached to their favorite's list.

You can't judge a person by the number on their favorites list.
My favorites reflect the friendly people that I have had interactions with, both male and female.

Totally agree. I find it so interesting that the chics that post slutty pics of themselves and list sex as one of their main interests receive like over 350 favs in oh lets say less than a month. Shows how meaningful these lists really are to some people.
For me those on my fav list and those who I am on are friends (male and female) that I have already met and wish to maintain contact with. Other then that I don't add and delete myself from theirs. Eww who wants to be on someones fav list just so that they can look at yer pics and spy on ya with no other contact.
