I will be coming to visit your great state this up coming october and hopfully dragging along a few other POFers. Was wondering about places to go and see and places to stay or even maybe setting up a POF meet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. we'll hopefully be flying into Honolulu if that helps.

See you all in a few months

| Hawaii Bound Posted: 7/19/2006 6:15:31 PM | Hi everyone, I live in Hawaii and I think it would be great to be able to meet other POF'ers in person. When you have anything settled about the exact time, date, send me an email and maybe we can get together so that I can answer some of your questions in person. Wasn't too sure if this trip to Hawaii was for 2006 or what. | |

| Hawaii Bound Posted: 7/19/2006 11:27:46 PM | I haven't been there in a while foomanchu, but it was my home for many years.
A lot depends on what you want to do and what interests you have. But as far as beaches go on the Island of Oahu the North Shore is the place to be, rather than Waikiki or downtown Honolulu. At least if you want more open spaces, prettier sights. cleaner and without tourists stacked on top of each other. There's a resort hotel up there that's very nice, I just can't quite recall the name of it right now. But rather than being right up next to hundreds of other hotels, its largely by itself, and its a great place to stay. I think its the only one up there close to Kaneohe.
Now if you are really in search of the ultimate Paradise, take a side trip to Maui and head for the North Shore there too. That is indeed Heaven on Earth. I really miss it.

| Hawaii Bound Posted: 8/16/2006 11:21:12 PM | I moved to Honolulu a month ago from Kitchener/Waterloo Ontario Canada. There are very few POFers here. Back in K/W there would be 500+ people at the POF party at the monthly POF party.
Here I see the same twelve people in my "Matches". Not like back in Canada. I assume that everyone is out surfing or enjoying the water.
I'll join you for a drink, but I think we don't need a really big venue.

| Slim Pickins Posted: 12/11/2006 4:02:52 PM | Yes, I noticed that there are very little “active” POF posts here in Hawaii.
I’m pretty new at this stuff, but in the last month I’ve been getting pretty frustrated with the slim pickins’ in the interaction on this dating site. I’ve written to a whole list of women and was either ignored or told I didn’t have what they wanted. A couple of very very nice ladies responded, but, when I go to the mall of dating, I expect to see more than two stores for me to shop.
I’m not a raving beauty, but, perhaps here in Hawaii people are looking for something that doesn’t exist. Rather than meeting a wonderful average person, are we looking for “perfect?” I think we should get rid of the term “perfect” when it comes to meeting other singles because it just makes us pigeon-hole ourselves and then the loneliness is the only other thing to enjoy in our small boxes…
Maybe I should get a hold of the Canadians…? What do you think?

| Coming over in November Posted: 9/28/2007 6:43:20 PM | Hi there, I have written up a blurb on the 'Introduce yourself forum' so apologies if you have already read it and I repeat myself here I am just sooooo excited about having my first overseas trip and 2 birthdays and seeing the Hawaiin Islands. Travelling on my own as my friends all got busy or broke (no spare cash). So if any of you POF people would like to catch up with me when I am stopping over in Honolulu before and after my Cruise or, when the ship is stopping over in Hawaii that would be great. If not, no worries. I look forward to enjoying your home and I will respect it as I do my own, I might be a little noisy with excitement but | |
