Anyone else ever do this out of ignorance or similar ? I will admit when I joined PoF it was the very first dating site I joined other then chat sites many moons ago(and years...lol), and was naive in the ways of dating sites. So here I cruise a profile that I find interesting... older woman then me and she seem to emphasis on her legs in her pics.. read her profile and noticed she used the expression "broad". Also noticed she like funny guys. So I email her hoping to catch her attention with a cute sarcastic remark Hey I looked at your profile. Nice legs for an older broad One of those things where you say: "OH boy what was I thinking!"

I am sure that if she referenced herself as a broad, then she will be down with that part! It's the older bit that might piss her off though. Either way it was funny and I am sure that if you explained yourself then she would think it was a cute attempt at winning her over.....here's hoping!

roxygemini hehe...actually I never said if she responded, was making reference to one of those things you write in emails where afterwards you realize how dumb or silly it was, but thanks for the encouragment.

I did not say that you said that she responded. I was saying that I hope that she does, and it's all good. If she did respond to you already and you were referencing an old conversation then it's still all good!

baldfisher, Yep I do this kind of thing all the time. I'm also famous for my Freudian slips. I told my supervisor today that "the garter belt is stuck again." Only when the entire office looked shocked and he was stumbling around for a reply, did I mentally replay what I just said. "...er... the -furnace- belt is stuck again." I corrected myself as I raced out. Then there's the time I called out the wrong name ... but let's not go there. (And I bloody forgot how to do italics!)

Just after midnight is the most dangerous time for me.....I think the oxygen drains from my brain and I get into this blabbing fit and say some weird shit....that's when my gf says to me "it's time for bed"
