Are they many men or women here that own a Motorcycle ?

Perhaps, if there is enough of a following/interest, we could organize a riding night/club for POF people with Harley's, Honda's, Kawis, Yamaha, etc in the area.

Comon all you Motorcycle enthusiasts! Whip em out so we can see your goodies!

If you have a bike, tell us what it is ,Year, Model, Make, colour.

I have a 2003 Honda Shadow Ace 750. Black and polished chrome!

My last bike was an 87 Kawasaki EX500, it was also my First Bike.

It was fast enough to keep me occupied, but I found it uncomfortable for long rides.

If was fun though. I prefer my cruise though.

I don't presently have a bike, but i hahave had alot in the past. I sure wishi had one right now, and i would sure be in on the cruise thing too. There is no ride in any amusement park, that even compares to the ride of a motorcycle. Atleast those are my thoughts.

Oh Well,

I was SURE there would be a lot more people interested in something like things.

I guess I was wrong.

I'm destined to be the lone wolf, I suppose!

Cheers to All!

Click on the kitties for the other picture. That's my ride. New at it, but went on a 200 plus bike rally this weekend and have a regular ride crew, cruise on my own as well. This is the best idea I ever had (except for marrying my wife, which I don't regret despite the fact it's over). Come on, any riders up here in the North Country?

I have a 2003 fxdwg harley dyna wide glide. Went out with the Scarborough chapter of Harley owners group this past Sun and had great ride. These people know their roads and where to stop. Im always looking to go out for a ride read my profile. I had a 1981 Honda Goldwing before that and we rode it for 22years. Just plain wore it out. You should try to set a date and time and get it onto the big board where they post the parties. you would be suprised how many people on here ride. OH HI Tabella. Still waiting for you to go on a ride with me.

Hi Chillywilly,

That is a great idea, I'd like to have something like that, but I haven't arranged anything before. What would be excellent would be some kind of Ride, followed by a BBQ or Corn Roast, so something like that.

I know that careful planning needs to be done. I might need some help and some suggestions. I haven't enough experience with cruises to tap into.

This post was to see if there was even interest in it. I"m still looking for proof of the interest :).

THanks for your comments!

Well You live in the Stoney creek area Right? So all you would need to do is go to the tourism office near you and get some maps of the wine region in Niagra. you could set up a small route around the vineyards. With a few stops at some of the vineyards that offer tours and tasting. It doesn't have to be to long or difficult. I find that most people who ride usually find their own fun when they stop. We - a group of my freinds all go to Dorset tower near Huntsville Then into Algonquin for lunch and dinner in Bancroft We finish with coffe in Peterborugh then home. If you wanted to set up some thing with a bbq and party after Tabella is good at organizing. Kai25 where were all you girls when I was single.?

Well, I own a 2006 Harley 883 sportster custom. It's black. It's a great weekend bike.

Not sure that I'd want to cruise around on the bike tasting wine though. Way too much temptation.

Okay, feeling guilty - everyone has their pics up along with their rides. I added one so here is me on mine, a V Star Silverado. So, any northerners up around Sault Ste Marie want to ride? Anyone?

What I need to do is network with a very "experienced" cruisers.

If I can find a few people that have worked the cruises, leading and trailing, that would sure make a difference

Any takers gonna volunteer to hop on the back of my bike?

I just got home from a cruise in Burlington, must have been 50 or 60 riders out there. Excellent experience.

Cheers to All!

Where in Burlington did you all go? I think there must be some one out your way that would help. I once did a run with a bunch of people and there is a lot of organizing to do. you need to make sure of the route you want to take , roads all good , # of traffic lights that would break up the group if some stop, speed limits for new riders, places to stop wether there would be enough room to park say 20 bikes , food ,gas and washrooms, etcetc etc.
If you choose to go to a scenic public place is there a fee to get in, We went to Elora gorge years ago and when we got there we did not know you had to pay, so some peole went in and some went to a bar. That broke up the ride real quick.
A lot of the organization rides that people go on now are very well planned and perhaps you could approach one of the organizer to give you some tips. My self I look for aplace that people would want to go to but just never thought about it to much.??
I know that sounds weird but think When was the last time you said I should go to Collingwood to look at the caves? But if a ride went there you would think I should have thought of that..
Now I know there is a lot of riders out there so keep workin on it . And I will definately go where ever you plan.

hey kids..

if we get enough of a crowd, i'm up for a cruise in the GTA/Niagara region somewhere.

i'm noticing a bit of a paucity of sport riders posting up so far, so will i be the lone wolf amongst all the harley sheep? don't worry, i'll go slow so you can keep up

seriously though, if it pans out, i'm sure it'd be fun, reagardless of the types of bikes.

I ride a Harley Davidson Sportster. 883cc. It's a blue collar Harley, though. Fixin' it up and making changes as I can. But I ride it every day, rain or shine (lately it's been rain). :( Although it's supposed to be nice this weekend, so I'm hoping to go exploring. ^.^

A PoF Ride sounds like a great idea. That would be a great event for a weekend. Everybody get together (some where central-ish for the out of towners), go for a nice long ride, and then party at the end of the night!
