| Do Americans Hate Canadians
Posted: 7/10/2006 4:30:26 PM | I have a dilemma trying to connect with American women who restrict their contact criterion to people who live in the United States. I live on the border of the USA but never get a chance to meet American women because they won't allow Canadians to contact them...
Can somebody please tell me why you do that? Do you have something against Canadians? If not, then why not lift the restriction. We don't bite (only if you want us to). I can use all the help I can get here...Thanks for listening... | |

I don't have one thing against them - I'm frustrated that you all live across the border. It justs seems like a hastle to me, plus I am a single-mother and would not want to relocate. Plus, I LOVE MY COUNTRY!

Posted: 7/10/2006 7:13:23 PM | Plus a lot of us just don't want to deal with the border several times a week to see someone we're interested in. In my searches, many women from Windsor come up and I wished they lived on this side of the border.
As for me, I have nothing against Candians or for that matter people of most countries (now leaders on the other hand, yuk, and that goes for ours too, but that's a different post). :) | |

I know I'm not the first to say it, but I JUST moved from where I was living less than a half hour from Canada (and I'm still not very far away), and it is very frustrating to find a profile of a woman who looks like she's really interesting, only to get to the bottom and see "Must Live in Canada" nestled among all the other criteria that I DO qualify for. Why do people cut off such a huge chunk of potential hits? If I was actually fishing I wouldn't say that I'm only going to keep the fish that spin counterclockwise when I pull them out. Well, I might, but then I AM kind of crazy like that. And this isn't fishing!

I (being 1/2 Canadian myself - my mom was from New Brunswick) sure as heck don't hate Canadians! You, as a people, are one of the few remaining breeds of REAL FOLKS left on the planet! Peace-loving and sensible. I highly respect and honor that. So should you!!!
Please note that my profile is not restricted to those in the U.S. I'd give my eye-teeth to be able to live and work in Canada or the UP of MI. However, with respect to Canada, your provinces (save Manitoba) haven't yet discovered the utility of Physician Assistants. So here I stay. Out of loon and moose zip codes.
I adore the Soo area (both sides). Just took my natl. certif exam up there a few weeks ago and hated to come back down across the Mac. What a wonder land!!! I had the great pleasure of living in Marquette for two years and sorely miss the whole Superior coast (north and south).
Also, please know that I perceive (from your descriptions/wants/desires/dreams/photos) that there are lots of handsome, sensible, and (MOST IMPORTANTLY) REAL guys on this website from your neck of the woods. Unfortunately, my job prospects don't seem to be allowing me to relocate there. Alas!

Posted: 7/11/2006 4:46:59 AM | I live in Lansing MI, within 100m of Windsor, have Family in Guelf and other Communities. I have a great memories of Family Reunions and Respect for Canada's Citizens. I also have noticed there are some really Beautiful Women living and Phising across the border, and lament they are searching for only Canadian Men. Some of the Women from the British Isles are also really Attractive.

I just live not 30 mins. from the Blue Water Bridge and Sarnia, and not but 10 mins from the nearest Ferry ride ( Marine City has a Ferry that takes you to Sombra).

Posted: 8/24/2006 3:18:11 PM | If you treat the relationship as a 'long distance' romance from the start, I don't see what the problem would be. If someone lived Indiana/Ohio would be same set of difficulties.
I have my own reasons for seeking local. I am born American but my parents and relatives all Canadian (Ontario/Manitoba) so yea, I know what is meant by 'real'. Not much of it here...Many Americans prefer to make fun of others (like Canadians) to boost their egos or something. Possibly due to insecurities resulting from a lifetime of exposure to non-PBS television programming? I bet Canadian kids can name all the provinces. heh heh | |

I'm sure some Canadian people hate Americans also. I can say one thing coming from a Michigander. We are displeased of the fact that your garbage is being sent over here. I've sat by the Blue water Bridge and all I see is trucks, and trucks of garbage coming over. I know we have no control over it but you have plenty of land for your garbage. Can you help me to understand why this is?  | |

Posted: 8/25/2006 3:27:22 PM | | I had the opportunity to operate one of my commercial trucks into parts of Ontario a few years back. I was impressed by the courtesy of the Canadian drivers. If I put on my turn signal to change lanes, they would make room and let me in. Not like that here in Michigan by a long shot. I also went through Customs in Sarnia quite a bit. All the brokers and customs officials were very pleasant. The only negative thing I have to say about my experiences has to do with talk radio. I would listen to the Canadian talk radio stations that came in near Brampton and Kitchener, and many times the callers were complaining about how Americans have it all and think they are better than everyone. All other experiences with Canada and Canadians has been exceptional. Wish I could spend more time there. | |

I don't see why people in the U.S. would or why anyone else would for that matter.
Why would anyone hate another country in the 1st place OR think that anyone would?
From what I've come to see & know by being on this site for a while now IS, that I can honestly say,
Canada is for the most part a LOT more open minded & accpeting of many things moreso than a LOT of people in the USA,
truthfully, I think we can learn a LOT from them (but then again) you have to have an open mind in the 1st place to LEARN anything, so, that eliminates 1/2 or more of the people in the USA! lol
P.S.
A LOT of Canadian women are hot too
