Posted: 8/18/2006 11:08:35 PM | I'm from East Central Alabama. I've sent out dozens of emails to the members that are in my area, but never get responses. I told myself that it was because I'm BBW. Now I'm wondering if that is the case. Maybe everyone in this area is just rude or not into answering emails. If that is the case.......then why put up a profile? So if you run across a good guy that likes BBW, send him my way.

Posted: 11/14/2006 11:50:18 PM | I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN ABOUT PEOPLE NOT REPLYING TO E-MAILS, AND, I TOO, THINK IT IS VERY RUDE. I MEAN, IF SOMEONE IS NICE ENOUGH TO CONTACT YOU, YOU SHOULD AT LEAST REPLY, EVEN IF IT NOTHING MORE THAN A POLITE "NO THANK YOU".
BUT, OBVIOUSLY, MANY PEOPLE ARE JUST CURIOSITY SEEKERS, AND, ARE NOT REALLY LOOKING TO MEET NEW PEOPLE, OR, THEY ARE MARRIED, OR OTHERWISE OBLIGATED, AND ARE AFRAID OF GETTING CAUGHT. EITHER WAY, IT IS A WASTE OF TIME TO CONTACT THEM; BUT, HOW DO WE KNOW WHICH ONES ARE SERIOUS, AND WHICH ARE JUST PLAYING GAMES???
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE SERIOUSLY INTERESTED IN MEETING PEOPLE IN NORTHEAST ALABAMA, WE HAVE SEVERAL DANCES IN THE AREA THAT I ENJOY ATTENDING. NONE OF THESE ALLOW DRINKING, AND, ARE WELL ATTENDED BY SOME VERY NICE PEOPLE.
THERE IS A SINGLES DANCE IN THE CLAYSVILLE COMMUNITY, JUST NORTH OF GUNTERSVILLE THAT MEETS EVERY SECOND SATURDAY NIGHT OF THE MONTH. MOST OF THESE ATTENDEES ARE FROM FORTY YEARS OF AGE ON UP. THEY MIX UP THE MUSIC, AND ALWAYS PLAY SEVERAL MIXER DANCES, AND OF COURSE, DO A LOT OF LINE DANCING. THE ANTE IS $5.00
PER PERSON, AND THEY ALWAYS HAVE A LOT OF NICE REFRESEMENTS. WATCH THE GUNTERSVILLE PAPER FOR ANNOUNCEMENTS.
THE DEKALB SINGLES CLUB ALSO HAS DANCES EACH MONTH, THIS TOO, IS A NICE GROUP, THEY ARE LOCATED IN FORT PAYNE, AND HOLD DANCES IN THE BLAKE COMMUNITY.
THERE IS ALSO A SENIOR'S DANCE IN GADSDEN FROM 6:30 TIL 9;30, EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT. THEY MEET IN THE SENIORS BUILDING (THE OLD J.C. PENNY BUILDING), AND THEY HAVE ANYWHERE FROM 150 TO 200 PEOPLE EACH WEEK. THEY HAVE A VERY GOOD LIVE BAND, A BEAUTIFULLY REMODELED FACILTY, AND A GOOD DANCE FLOOR. THIS DANCE IS ATTENDED BY, UPPER MIDDLE AGED PEOPLE, AS WELL AS, SOME THAT ARE TRULY "SENIOR CITIZENS", BUT, YOU WOULD BE SURPRISED AT HOW ACTIVE SOME OF THE OLDER MEMBERS OF THE GROUP ARE, AND VISITING WITH THEM IS ALWAYS A PLEASURE. THIS IS A POPULAR DANCE, AND WE HAVE SEVERAL CARLOADS FROM AS FAR A WAY AS ROME, GEORGIA.
OF COURSE, THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHER DANCES AS WELL, WHICH I WON'T TAKE THE SPACE TO LIST IN THIS WRITING; BUT, IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT MEETING PEOPLE, YOU SHOULD ATTEND THESE DANCES, MEET PEOPLE, AND FIND ABOUT OTHER ACTIVITIES IN THIS AREA.
I ALSO THINK THAT IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE LET ALL OF OUR OUR SINGLES FRIENDS KNOW ABOUT THIS SINGLES SITE, FOR WE ARE VERY FORTUNATE TO HAVE IT, AND, SHOULD SUPPORT IT IN EVERY WAY.
I HAVE FOUND THAT WHETHER YOU ARE MARRIED OR SINGLE, LIFE CAN BE PRETTY MUCH WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT. OF COURSE MAKING THE RIGHT DECISIONS, HAVING THE RIGHT PRIORITIES, AND ASSOCIATING WITH THE RIGHT PEOPLE, ALL HAVE IMPORTANT BEARINGS ON WHERE WE ARE, AND WHERE WE ARE GOING IN LIFE.
AND, WHO OF US HAS NOT MADE MISTAKES IN ALL OF THESE CATEGORIES?? BUT, JUST BECAUSE WE FIND OURSELVE ON THE WRONG PATH, DOESN'T MEAN WE HAVE TO CONTINUE IN THAT DIRECTION, IT'S REAL SIMPLE, WHEN YOU BEGIN TO SEE RED FLAGS, CHANGE DIRECTIONS. GO TO PLACES WHERE YOU MEET NICE PEOPLE, AND ACT ACCORDINGLY.
YOU ARE NOT GOING TO FIND A PEACH IN A LEMON GROVE. IN OTHER WORDS, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO FIND A WORTHWHILE RELATIONSHIP WITH SOME HOPPED UP FREAK YOU PICK OFF OF A BAR STOOL; OR WITH SOME LOUNGE LIZARD, THAT'S JUST SITTING AROUND WAITING FOR EVERYONE TO GET DRUNK ENOUGH, FOR HIM TO PASS HIMSELF OFF AS BEING SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE.
OF COURSE, THERE ARE THOSE WHO PREFER THIS KIND OF LIFE, AND, THAT IS CERTAINLY THEIR PEROGATIVE, BUT, THEY SHOULDN'T BE SURPRISED, IF THEY FALL FOR SOMEONE, WHO THEY LATER FIND OUT HAS NO MORALS OR SCRUPLES, AND ARE JUST USING THEM, UNTIL SOMEONE DIFFERENT COMES ALONG; AT WHICH TIME THEY DON'T CARE WHO GETS HURT, JUST AS LONG AS THEY ENJOY THEIR LATEST "THRILL BUDDY".
AND, THEN THERE ARE OTHERS WHO DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY WANT, OR WHERE THEY INTEND TO WIND UP, SO, MAKING SUGGESTIONS TO THEM IS EASY, FOR, "IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE YOU WANT TO GO, ANY ROAD WILL GET YOU THERE".

Posted: 12/3/2006 6:18:41 PM | hi i am from north east Alabama . and yes when contacted i do reply even if you dont live within the surrounding areas. but some people are only going toi speak to those in their age group or within the guidelines they set as to what they are looking for... but most true southern ladies will at least answer your emails back ... even if it is to say no thank you ..or at least that was the way i was taught when i was growing up...

Posted: 4/26/2007 4:59:28 PM | I am also from NE Alabama,having moved here w/in the last year or so.TOO MANY females desiring long term right off the bat.I am fairly sure that we all would like that type thing for the future BUT at my age and w/my experienceS (plural), I am hesitant to make contact and/or follow thru on the profiles that state LONG TERM.Scary man! CommittmentPHOBIA when you know that the person of interest is on a mission and declares that mission.
That is my warped view.
Now then,where are all of the SINGLE WOMEN that are just looking to meet,hang around,date a little,ETC. and then perhaps look toward the future?
That is what i thought.NONE.

Posted: 2/27/2008 7:19:40 AM | i live in the n.e. al. area and i am sick too death with people who do not answer and e-mail on here. if you didn't want to meet someone, you wouldn't take time to send them an e-mail to them. when you look at someone's picture it don't show what kind of person they are. a picture is just an outside view of the person, it don't show what is in side. it don't show what is in their heart, their mind. so many other things make up a person. so if we go by a picture of a person think of what kind of great persone we are missing. so i am asking people to stop that and answer people and try to get to know them before they cut them out. there is no shame in exploring new ways. i have several e-mails to men and i have not received hardly any back. yes it does make me feel like i am not being looked at as a person and they are looking at a picture.i am so much more than just a picture. so good luck with your search.  | |

Right now I am chatting with a lovely lady in North West Georgia and have exchanged emails with several women in Tennessee.
My search settings are pretty much open. Feel free to chat with people you don't know. You might find they are interesting. Often looking into the waters will help you catch the big one. | |

Lots about dating at this age that I simply do not understand and really don't like. Unlike the guy who finds far too many women wanting to get too serious too quick.. I find that most want to date one or two times and then quit... some have already found someone else to date or that they are more interested in then they drop me thinking they'll get to keep the other one.
