Posted: 7/18/2006 5:52:00 PM | Furniture Warehouse on Granville. Its a great funky bar that plays wicked tunes, has amazing mexican food, and the bartenders hand out FREE jagermeister shots...oh yeah, they also have a big barrel of shelled peanuts you can throw at this "bucket" on the bar!!
Also love the Commodore for the bouncy bouncy floor when a great band is playin!! | |

There are lots of great pubs or places to watch sports or have a drink.
For a nightclub/place to drink, mine was Luvaffair. By far the best music in town and good atmosphere. They still do a few of the nights at the Caprice but its not really the same. I guess I am starting to get old when I can rant about the lack of character at bars today and start to talk about the "good old days". lol | |

we use to skip out of school at lunch time and hitchike downtown
to the Ritz cause they served us 25 cents a draft..and all the "old" men in suits
would buy us drinks
one time they asked me for ID - I said I left my purse at the office and he said
"ah Ok - bring it next time" ...those were the daze! | |

Posted: 8/4/2006 9:47:15 PM | I used to love luvaffair!! We used to have the best time dancing and drinking there!! Started going there when I was 16. Same thing, if you have boobs, you didn't need ID!!
I also used to go to the Coyote, Richards on Richards, the Cambie, the Lamplighter and the Bourban before I got my ID!! I still go to the Cambie, Lamplighter, and the Bourban occasionally as well!! Love those places!
I also like the Royal and the Roxie now!  Now I want to go dancing!! | |

The commadore definatly is my top choice in Vancouver, been there only twice and one of those times was a crappy band and i still had a good time, the bouncy floor is great too, and is something my granmda told me about before the first time i went. great times. | |
