| the "dumpee" Posted: 3/3/2005 4:05:22 PM | Alright. We've had a thread on what is the "right" way to end a relationship. We've talked about being sensitive. We've talked about not doing it by e-mail.
Now, what is the proper behaviour for the non-initiator? How should a person behave when the other person says that they want to break it off?

| the Posted: 3/3/2005 6:41:45 PM | | Well, hopefully, we behave like the adults that we are.....It`s ususally me delivering that news, and I`d like to think that I do it in a mature way...simply too many differences between us to make a relationship fly...No one is at fault....It was something that just wasn`t meant to be....redneckgirl133 | |

| the Posted: 3/5/2005 5:40:12 AM | do it right after a goodby shag
and do it on good terms (I was kidding about the first bit, but not the second one)
Besides, they might have single attractive friends who are more compatible with you, and if you break on good terms they will be more likely to put in a good word for you.

I must admit this isn't one of my favorite things.

LOL, lesson learned, avoid the newly separated man. I am going to tattoo it somewhere, I think.
Anyways, If someone breaks up, chances are, it just wasn't right....for him or her, and therefore, for you too, even if it does not feel like it, and you love them with all of your heart. Just let them go into the dark night. if they were a jerk about it, pray for a nice bit of karma.
Untimately though, if someone breaks up with your before marriage/living together, you have been given a blessing in disguise.
Just my 2 cents :) | |
