| Very long hair on a woman is very femine and sexy, but few women have long hair Posted: 7/24/2006 2:50:10 PM | Hi Everyone; I know that character qualities are by far the most important thing in a long term relationship so please don't jump on me for this. If you dont have character, honesty, loyalty, integrity then it really does not matter about any physical qualities. But at some point, I decided that I wanted it all for my next long term relationship, smart, good character and physical chemistry. Everyone has different tastes in the later, but for me they are feminine qualities which to me are slim or fit, nice smile and eyes, and I love a woman who has nice long hair. I find it very sensual and think most men prefer longer hair. So how come most women in my age bracket cut their hair short?? | |

| Very long hair on a woman is very femine and sexy, but few women have long hair Posted: 7/24/2006 3:07:13 PM | Well the women's libbers are to thank for that I think. With having to work a full-time job, raise the kids, do the cooking, and keep the house clean, who the hell has time to fuk around with long hair???
I keep my hair quite long (past the middle of my back), and unless I am going out for lunch, have meetings, or it's a weekend and the housework is done, I tie it back, and away I go... but it is not for all women... If I looked good with short hair, I would probably hack it all off!

| Very long hair on a woman is very femine and sexy, but few women have long hair Posted: 7/24/2006 3:32:47 PM | Have u ever tried living with long hair? For some of us our long hair is very heavy, which makes summer a biotch. It get very hot, gets in the way, and it takes forever to wash it. My hair used to be down to my tailbone. But it's just too thick and it gives me headaches if it gets below the middle of my back. Go a full year with long hair and then come back to this blog and answer that question for yourself? And on that note, why do men insist on bringing the mullet back? | |

Maybe because our sole purpose in life is to please ourselves, not men?
hahahaha.
long hair is really hard to take care of. i have pretty long (well below my shoulders) and wavy hair...it's a struggle to keep it but i like it and i decide that i like it for myself, not for all the guys out there who prefer long hair. but im only 20 so I have a little extra time with no kids or full time job to handle. maybe it looks more professional for them to have the shorter cuts. it's all about the womens style, taste, choices.

| Very long hair on a woman is very femine and sexy, but few women have long hair Posted: 7/24/2006 4:17:21 PM | Wow ~ I find myself on the opposite end of this. I had short hair most of my life until a year ago. I will never go back. It's just so much easier with it long. If I'm in a hurry ~ it's a knot or a pony. Otherwise, I let it dry naturally. Naturally curly and now almost to my waist ~ it would take an act of congress to get me to cut it. I wish I would have known this in high school......I probably have 5 years of my life spent messing with my short hair. BUT ~ I don't have it long for a man ... it's long for ME. | |

I think I may have upset others with my post but is was refreshing to read your response. Some responses seemed to think it was a bad thing as its only purpose was to please a man, but forgive me if I'm wrong, but many of us practice good hygeine, stay fit, and dress in clean clothes too but does not mean we do it please the opposite sex. We do it because it makes us feel good about ourselves. I was just wondering why people like you were the minority... I guess I should keep my opinions to myself so as to not offend anyone sensitive.

| Very long hair on a woman is very femine and sexy, but few women have long hair Posted: 7/24/2006 7:12:25 PM | I think very long, unstyled hair on an older woman is a little off-putting. But, I feel the same about men with long hair. There's nothing worse than seeing a head of long, luxurious hair only to have the person turn around and
1. Be a DUDE !! 2. Be a strikingly horrible looking woman
I understand a man's sentiment though....seems like every woman over 45 gets that "Shaved in the back, fluffy in the front" hairstyle like it's mandatory or something! I'm for individuality and all that but there are plenty of easy-to-manage hairstyles for every length of hair. I really think women use the hair-thing as an excuse not to manage themselves. It takes 4 minutes a day for me to put on a full-face of makeup (and I wear EVERYTHING). It takes 6 hours every 6 weeks to get my hair done. But, it's worth it to me!
P.S. And before the flamers get their torches going, NO, I don't have kids, but I'm an infant foster mother, I work fulltime, for years I went to college full-time, am a member of Amnesty International, my house is clean and I still found time to watch the Sopranos!
Femi-Nazi with a full face of makeup forEVER!! Natalie!

The things we do for ourselves, ultimately, is what makes us sexy in our own ways. I have hair that is slightly mid-ways of my back, and it really is a headache to keep up sometimes. My hair does kinda drive me nuts in the summertime, but when it falls in "intimate" situations it is well worth the keep. Not to say women with short hair are not sexy, but my long hair works for me.

| Very long hair on a woman is very femine and sexy, but few women have long hair Posted: 7/24/2006 8:27:10 PM | | Ok, my hair barely reaches my bra strap in back, so it's long, but it's not THAT long. But it's really thick, which means it takes several hours to completely air-dry, or 45 minutes to blow-dry. Now I had short hair and it wasn't for me. But standing in a hot, humid bathroom on a summer morning, trying to blow your hair dry (because you can't go to work with it wet), trying to keep from sweating to death from the blowdryer's hot air . . . well, it's not for the faint of heart. And long hair isn't something I would have if *I* didn't like it - doesn't have anything to do with what *he* likes. (And thank God for bobby pins and hair clips on those summer mornings!! LOL) | |

| Very long hair on a woman is very femine and sexy, but few women have long hair Posted: 7/24/2006 8:40:33 PM | to the person who posted about their hair taking 45 min to blow dry,(speaking as a hairstylist) you are doing something wrong if it takes that much time lol Ive dried many a thick heads and have straightened some thick curly heads .
on topic.. I prefer long hair, its so much easier to care for.I dont have to cut it every 4- 6 weeks to keep it in shape lol and when I want it short I have the ole pony tail trick to use. I agree that long hair is more sexy than short... but not on all people.

| Very long hair on a woman is very femine and sexy, but few women have long hair Posted: 7/24/2006 9:18:20 PM | As I read this thread I had to giggle. All these women saying how hard it is to take care of long hair...my hair is to my knees and I've got a repertoire of about 6 different styles I can whip my hair into, besides "down". Takes a few minutes to wash it, let it air dry, or put it up. Sometimes I'll put it in lots of braids, leave them in overnight and take them out the next day w/o brushing, I love it like that. I tend to get a lot of people commenting on my hair, regardless of sex or age. And I've had some pretty funny experiences with it too "scuze me sir, you're sitting on my hair"
As far as men, the ones I've had in my life have liked it. I love having someone else brush it, but men are clueless about brushing, its taken me 15 minutes to get the brush detached from my head when some dork has kept brushing when its gotten stuck!
When I was 28 and pregnant everyone told me to cut it off cause I'd end up suffocating my baby (dragging on her face) (stupid people). It actually grew like crazy while I was pregnant - course it fell out like crazy after she was born too(knitted a blanket out of it lol).
I'm Native, but that isn't why my hair is long, I'm kind of the "anomaly stereotype" of a native woman - everyone else in my family has short hair above the shoulders. My hair is this long "because"...
Cheers

| Very long hair on a woman is very femine and sexy, but few women have long hair Posted: 7/24/2006 9:29:46 PM | | I have noticed that ALOT of older women go for the short curly mushroom cut look and it looks good on some women...but definately not so much on others. I have wondered why older women do this as well!! I wear my hair very long because I have a naturally round, eskimo face and I think the long hair compliments my facial structure. I think long hair is sexy, but I am biased, Audrey Hepburn was beautiful with short hair so i guess it just depends on the face. | |
