| men who can fix anything(your thoughts) Posted: 7/25/2006 5:31:20 PM | | neither .... I can do a heck of a lot for myself around the house & would hate for a guy to assume I couldn't. However, I would want a guy to offer to help, and to be handy around his own place - I admire a do-it-yourselfer generally speaking, but it's not a turn-on for me. | |

| men who can fix anything(your thoughts) Posted: 7/25/2006 5:34:09 PM | can we rephrase it a little??? A woman with a man who thinks he can fix anything?
One that can actually fix things? And not have it fall apart 2 weeks later? Sign me up-I'm tired of doing it myself(or paying someone to).

| men who can fix anything(your thoughts) Posted: 7/25/2006 7:54:08 PM | Is a definite asset... carpenter, plumber, pool boy all rolled into one... just don't forget that many of us ladies can do most of it too... so do know which screwdriver to pass you when you ask for a phillips... | |

| men who can fix anything(your thoughts) Posted: 7/25/2006 8:39:09 PM | Yeah,
A handywoman would rule! A partner that I could come home and she'd be like "Hi honey. I just did the clutch in the old pickup". Or drag a fridge up a flight of stairs by herself. I love women with knowledge or the drive to learn stuff. But I also love soft hands and cute little feet on women. I hope doing that stuff doesn't affect her goods :)
My past girlfriends have said that my handywork makes them feel safe.

| men who can fix anything(your thoughts) Posted: 7/25/2006 9:33:45 PM | I think a guy who can fix anything, and will actually do it and do a great job, is super sexy! Please do it in front of us so we can enjoy the view of your muscles, your brain working hard to figure out the wiring (or whatever it is you are doing at the time) and feel taken care of. It makes a sexy man even sexier! I just haven't found any yet....
In the mean time, I am teaching myself to fix anything. Haven't dared the car thing yet. Need a guy to teach me. Any takers out there?????

| men who can fix anything(your thoughts) Posted: 7/25/2006 10:00:04 PM | | If he actually CAN fix things it's great. Less I have to do myself. Problem is the ones who only THINK they can fix things and just make a mess a screw things up. I stopped letting men monkey with my car years ago. | |

| men who can fix anything(your thoughts) Posted: 7/25/2006 11:16:23 PM | If I had a choice between Tim Allen or Bob Villa, I'd have to go with Tim. He's a disaster in the fix-it department but he has the greatest sense of humor and he loves his wife (at least on the sitcom!!!) | |

| men who can fix anything(your thoughts) Posted: 7/26/2006 8:02:33 AM | | my ex could fix nearly everything but couldn't be bothered. I dont' need a guy to do those things for me, between my dad, my best friend and I there isn't much that can't be figured out. | |

| men who can fix anything(your thoughts) Posted: 7/26/2006 1:37:33 PM | It seems to me the vast majority of the women who are on online dating sites care more about book smarts than hands on ,real world smarts . Many of them won,t even talk to you if your not college edjamakated which i think is hilarious cause of all the people i know , it seems the ones who are "educated" seem to be fairly SLOW with basic everyday tasks and problem solving skills . They tend to over analyse everything and think they can reinvent the wheel ..LoL But to each their own ...JMHO | |

| men who can fix anything(your thoughts) Posted: 7/26/2006 1:52:20 PM | | I really don't care in general about how well formally educated a person is, but my ex can't even spell enough for me to figure out what he was writing. I made a very bad mistake in marrying someone who cannot communicate, he dropped out of 8th grade but I didn't know this till after we married, which was my fault for agreeing to wed within a year. He also had no desire to learn anything which made it hard for me to discuss things with him. | |

| men who can fix anything(your thoughts) Posted: 7/26/2006 1:55:11 PM | | Oh definitely sexy. I don't care if I can do it or not, but if he wants to, by all means. Something about a guy and tools... *looks out at her job site* hm?? Oh yes, guys and tools and fixing stuff, definitely sexy. | |

| men who can fix anything(your thoughts) Posted: 7/26/2006 2:46:29 PM | 606southsider: just remember that the "minority" is still out there appreciating our hard working, hands on guys...
It's been my experience that the "educated" can put it on paper, but it takes the "edjamakated" to build it ... how many paper houses do you see out there!!

| men who can fix anything(your thoughts) Posted: 7/26/2006 3:36:27 PM | I agree with southsider, I have met a few ladies and when they find out I don't have a college degree or been to university, they stop talking,,, what gives,?... I think , no rephrase, I know I can make a darn good living with my hands and the brains I do have,, lol. besides... most guys that have gone to university, where are they????... serving hamburgers at micky D's
Not that there is anything wrong with that. other than... is that what they went to university for?

| men who can fix anything(your thoughts) Posted: 7/26/2006 4:02:49 PM | sure have root,
I know I can fix anything around the house, other than the microwave, toaster, well no, I have fixed a toaster, I had my own carpantry business for over 10 years so I do know how to do things around the house, mighty handy with a set of wrenches as well. I feel it is a great quality to have to be able to do those things, but we can't all be doing that, who is gonna design the house?... we need all kinds and it takes all kinds

| men who can fix anything(your thoughts) Posted: 7/26/2006 4:25:40 PM | | i find it comforting that someone knows how to fix something if it breaks down. it's not necessarily "sexy" or attractive in that sense. it's just a very comforting thought to know that if there's a home improvement emergency that i won't have to wait for someone to come fix it. | |
