He'll maybe be hurt but at least from my point of view it's far easier to handle reality than not know what's going on... besides, what kind of message are you sending anyone else that might like to date you (I don't mean this in a mean way, just making a point) except that you might do the same thing to them someday?
Just start talking with him about your feelings, steer yourself in a 'going to tell him how I really feel' state of mind and let it flow out of you. If nothing else you'll end things, but maybe if you talk with him about it openly you might find it might solve most of the reasons you might want to leave him in the first place.. you never know.
Yes it might hurt but you're only putting off that momentarily from the sounds of it. If you are really not into this guy you're doing him a favor to set him free... | |

Just say it directly that you don't like the guy, he will be 10000 miles away from you. Men has self-esteem and self-respect too. We won't cry because you leave us. It is normal that you leave because everyone has their own goal but if the connection then both will compromise and try other suboptimal solutions to achieve their own goal. Can be very analytical if you think about it in details. Just my 2 cents.... | |

1. Don't let him touch you in any way.
2. Tell him what a "good friend" he is.
3. Go out with other people (no, not other guys, but other friends and groups), then tell him about how much fun you had. Apologize for not calling him to go along.
4. Never contact him. Make him call/visit you.
5. Only let him see you for brief periods of time. An hour lunch, an hour cup of tea, whatever. No extended evening or weakend dates.
It might take a bit more than 10 days, but not much more.
