The guy has worked with everyone over the years. He always seems to rise to the challenge. The experience. Plus he has written a couple long lasting Rock Standards. All Right Now and Feel like making love. The works with the firm, was awesome. I don't think he gets the credit he deserves.

I gotto tell ya, i think he was retreaded. The show he puts on with Queen, looks like he is in his early thirties. The smile from ear to ear, the showmanship. Truly i say..."He's the michelin man"

I wish Paul would include "Seagull" with the rest of the Bad Company/Queen set.

I'm jazzed about picking up the DVD Return of the Champions tomorrow. I can't wait Been waiting all month for payday. LOL

I also liked Paul Rodgers solo album. It had a song on it that he also did with The Firm. Those two Firm albums were pretty good. The guy is in remarkable shape to do a tour with fellow pros like Queen.

Counting down the hours.....

It's gonna blow you away toons.....my suggestion...take your fix ( a glass of wine, a beer, a jack daniels, whatever )...sit in your favourite chair. Take a deep breathe then click "Play"......watch pure classiness in a show for two solid hours. It reeks with class on so many levels. Keep an eye on Paul Rodgers, the smile never leaves his face. Hes having a blast with the boys.

No matter where the show is next time......i'll be there. Whatever continent its on.

Lets give credit where credit is due. I have never heard him with Queen, but this guy has paid his dues. A true professional.

Does anybody remember the Firm (with Jimmy Page)?

I still have my old beat up vinyl albums from when they were released. The only lasting saving grace from those 2 records was Rodger's voice.

I remember he was later, in 1991, he fronted a band called The Law (with Kenney Jones).

The man is a true rock legend who really doesn't get the credit he deserves. He set the bar pretty high with Free and then went on to form Bad Company and set it even higher. The Firm with Jimmy Page,The Law,all of his bands are always top notch.

Paul Rogers influencd an entire generation of singers.. Ive read interviews with members of several 70's bands ( Kansas and Foreigner come to mind) that credited PR with developing a brit blue eyed blues style that influenced their own development.
His work with Free is definitely underappreciated. The well known, much played numbers like All Right Now and Fire and Water are just a portion of the fine music he made. One song in particular i feel ranks with the finest 3 minutes of Rock ever, ranks with the best of the Beatles or Stones, its called "Soon I Will Be Gone"
simple ,very powerful lyrics, great music and as usual the engineering was years ahead of its time ( Free's base player was Andy Fraser , a very gifted engineer, the only engineer Ive ever seen credited on the front of an album) His work isolating instruments and mixing the music without losing the location of each track was extraordinary, great dynamics and an almost invisable noise floor.

Paul Rodgers like the Michelin Man? Given the length of his career, more like the Energizer Bunny. One of the great voices of rock.

Queen have been my absolute favorite band for the last 27 years and I can't seem to bring myself to listen to PR with Brian and Roger..."but someday, one day.."
Speaking of rock singers that have had a long career and still sound great, how about Glenn"god of voice"Hughes and Mr Ian Gillan?

I saw him at the Freedom Festival here a few years ago. I don't know how old this guy is but he has the vocal ability of a man half his age. The showmanship/energy of his performance was absolutley amazing. Kansas opened for him, and although I really liked Kansas's performance, Rodgers blew them off the stage!

think Paul Rogers was about 18 when Free released their debut in 1968 so he may be around 57 - 58. Anyone who knows him only from the Bad Company days onwards should listen to some of his work with Free. A good place to start would be a greatest hits compilation.

The musical style is more a kind of soulful rock rather than the more conventional Bad Company sound. Paul Kossof contributed a unique wailing, soulful Les Paul guitar sound to the mix. I've got eight of their albums so I guess I like 'em a bit.

Hard to beat his grunts and voice inflection in the tunes he sings. He can take ape sounds and make them music.

I saw him on the Queen tour a couple years back. I never was a diehard Rodgers fan, but the man is AMAZING! He definitely won me over.

when i heard paul rodgers had joined queen i had my doubts. queen does alot of high note singing(roger taylor falsetto) and freddie mercury had one of the great hard rock voices.
nothing i had heard rodgers do previously was very high. but he manages to do the job in great fashion and has won me over. he took queen songs and did them on his terms AND hit high notes to boot. props to paul.
