1. You can now easily check your messages via a cell phone.
I see no information regarding how one does this posted anywhere and a search resulted in nothing. I do get email alerts sent to my phone via msn but it only says I have new mail @ POF. Is this a feature still in the works or has it been abandoned completely? | |

Posted: 9/19/2007 1:53:47 PM | It may be the way POF detect the mobiles. It may be better if they had a page that would set the site to be viewed on mobiles, which is what I do, rather than trying to detect mobile browsers from the headers, which keep changing for each new phone/browser.
On my mobile enabled sites I have a page that sets cookies for mobile use. You go to that page first, which sets the cookies and the rest of the site will be set up.
Maybe POF could set a login page at www.plentyoffish.com/mobile or something like that rather than trying to detect mobiles from the headers | |

Posted: 12/17/2007 5:47:55 PM | I have the same problem but it's not just POF. Facebook is just as bad because although I can log in I can't access what I've received an alert about anyhow. And Facebook is one of the ones listed on the phone itself as a feature.
Also when I do finally get an 'inaccessible' POF page up it tells me that POF can easily be accessed by logging on to www.plentyoffish.com over and over again. | |
