Can this shit be true?
None???
That's.......that's.....that's........

Edit; BTW...here in Edmonton, I'm kinda partial to Columbus Donair. The sauce sucks, but I just order w/o it & they kick ass!

| Donairs Posted: 8/4/2006 4:56:42 PM | It's a myth, we have plenty of donair shops in Calgary...
Although the best one I ever had was in Edmonton, a little place on the east side, can't remember the name of it to save my life but it was yummy....almost worth the trip up!
|
| Donairs Posted: 8/4/2006 5:26:58 PM | There's a place on the west end, Stony Plain Rd., I think, and they are advertising "Halifax Donairs"
You cannot truly appreciate a donair unless you've had one from back home. With the sweet sauce, raw onion, tomato....etc...
suckers. | |
|
| Donairs Posted: 8/4/2006 5:29:27 PM | Just remember, if you have a donair and your date doesn't...there's no kissing later...
Consume with caution | |

| Donairs Posted: 8/4/2006 6:42:40 PM | If you are ever in the NW of Calgary you have got to try Jimmy's Donairs. It's called AA foods on 20th Ave and 13 St. (I think). They also have chicken Shwarmas....gotta try those too. cheers | |
|
| Donairs Posted: 8/4/2006 6:44:03 PM | ^^^ I'll second that. Where else can you get a donair made by a singing Lebonese cowboy? | |
|
| Donairs Posted: 8/4/2006 6:48:08 PM | | The best Donair I have ever had was in Vancouver. I cannot remember the name but the place was on Davie near Burrard and it had a comic painted on the walls. Those Donairs had the best sweet sauce I have ever tasted...OMG..Yum!!! I have not found one as good since. | |
|
| Donairs Posted: 8/4/2006 7:29:36 PM | 1) There's a Lebanese place on the north side of 8th Ave west of 8th street south with great chicken, great lamb and so-so beef donairs. 2) On the southeast corner of that intersection is the best cheap beef donair place in downtown at $4. 3) On 6th Ave west of 8th street is a dive bar called Mila's (formerly Cafe Imam), which makes great pan-fried beef donair. 4) Random places on 17th Ave SW west of 4th street SW will serve donairs of varying quality. 5) And then, of course, are the places that were shut down last year for serving unspecified meet in their donairs, resulting in various food-related illnesses... | |
|

| Donairs Posted: 8/4/2006 11:26:40 PM | A well known grocery retailer thats often referred to as stupidstore has some pretty good ones in their deli.
I used to eat em like there was no tommorow. Load em up with sour cream and they are wicked.

| Donairs Posted: 8/5/2006 10:19:39 AM | There is a pizza and donair shop behind the glenmore inn not sure what it is called, It's a little expensive, but was well worth it. As for Hamilton, been there, looked around, could go back to see friends, I would just need an address, and I would have to make sure my car doesn't get blown off the skyway. | |
