How about partying on Stag Island?
I know it's not in Sarnia, but it is only a couple miles south of there.
In days gone by there was cruising between the A&W on Maxwell St (just behind Keelans)
and Tabs on Colbourne Rd. Sure do miss the car hops.
The pictures of Sarnia and Stag Island that Chris Hadfield took from space.
I'm sure others can add to this- what do ya say?

Sarnia is my home town and always will be..I was born and rasied here, my friends and family live here and I love em all, they are the greatest bunch of people we have so many great times together and lots of memories. I think it's a pretty kick ass town, their always building new things. Sarnia has gotten alot more bigger then it use to be and it's starting to be noticed because of all the events being held like bayfest. Yeah I don't mind living here

Well I know we had the 1st POF party there and I sang on stage and it was great. I know that Wheels Inn is right there. I also know you can't get much to eat after 2:30 in the morning. It is a fun city and a great town to drive in though.

How about the 5 corners?
Lots of bussiness goes down there.
Queen and Kathleen are both police infested areas.

Ok first off SCITS in my day stood for Sarnia's Collection of Idiots and Trained Saps, so what happened to my highschool, lol?

TABS, I forgot about that place, it was awesome.

I used to climb the rooftops downtown before I was of age and watch all the bar fights when the bars closed. That was always good for a laugh.

The thing about Sarnia is that you leave (lived there for 20 years) and when you go back to visit, the same people are doing the same things. No one seems to have any ambition and the people I knew years ago that weren't doing anything with their lives, are still not doing anything with their lives. The same bums are in the same places and the downtown still looks like crap. Unless you have a really good job in the plants , there isn't much else there.

It is a beautiful city in the summertime and I do miss my friends, the water and all the rockin' stations from the States but I don't miss living there.

Ya the Mustang was fun, especially the nights they had the dusk to dawn.

Anyone remember Gus' Pool Hall? It was just a short walk from S.C.I.T.S. and we'd go there at lunch time to shoot a couple games. Also a place to go during exam week in between exams.

The Colonial. Haven't heard that one in a long time. My Dad met his ex-girlfriend there when I was a kid. And Kresgies Department Store on Christina. My sisters and I won a rabbit at the old Imperial Theatre during a Sunday matinee just before Easter when I was about 7.

I just moved back to Sarnia after being away (Kincardine, Winnipeg, Whitby) for 20 years. No, not much has changed which actually makes it still feel like home.

It was great reading all the posts and being surprised as to how many of them brought back memories.
