| Top few things that turn you off about women Posted: 8/20/2006 9:38:31 AM | Saw a corresponding thread about men and did not find one about women. So I figured it will be interesting to see what reasonable men's opinions are about the turn-offs with respect to women. I deliberately omitted specifying a number for things because of it being so subjective in nature.
So men, what kind of things turn you off about a woman?
For me: 1. Indecisiveness 2. Lack of proper personal hygiene 3. Whining 4. Hypocracy - actions not matching words
There are more but enough to get this going for now.. :)

| Top few things that turn you off about women Posted: 8/20/2006 9:48:03 AM | First, you're assuming that "reasonable" men will reply to this thread.
Second, here's my two cents, based on the women I've dated:
1) high maintenance girls 2) snotty girls who pick each other apart 3) the amount that women want to talk. 4) indecisiveness 5) Simpering.

| Top few things that turn you off about women Posted: 8/20/2006 10:10:18 AM | 1. Cruel. (I do like warm hearted woman. If she likes everyone and everything in general, she'll love me in the right way.)
2. Unstable. (I don't expect a woman has constant mood like a man. As I'm old, I can't deal with the emotion stability of a 2 years old.)
3. Narrow minded.
4. Lazy. | |

| Top few things that turn you off about women Posted: 8/20/2006 10:13:20 AM | 1. Constant complaining about her job (or about having to work for a living at all). 2. Comparing me to her ex(s). 3. Saying she loves me as I am, then trying to change me. 4. Expecting me to be able to read her mind. 5. Not following through after saying she'll do something. 6. Procrastination. 7. Laziness. 8. Self-pity.

| Top few things that turn you off about women Posted: 8/20/2006 10:49:04 AM | | The idecisiveness is HUGE. Like what do you want for dinner? "I dunno". Where do you want to go to this weekend? "I dunno". I've been with women and this was constant. Could NOT make one decision. Oh and the work thing. I work all day and it's stressful. I would get home and she's sit there and go on and on about her job. When I get home give me some unwind time. At least a few hours!!!! Then we could talk about anything but make it quick lol. Oh yeah and I hate talking in the morning. Let me have coffee or you'll be dealing with a very mean man | |

| Top few things that turn you off about women Posted: 8/20/2006 11:40:08 AM | O.P. I think you need to go and study women!
Some of the posts suggest lack of being able to make a decision as female. I don't agree this trait is gender related! Infact, re-reading the posts, most are not gender specific!
My biggest stumbling block with women is that they are "PERCIEVED" to be the weaker sex, (emotionally) and us men fool themselves into believing that.

| Top few things that turn you off about women Posted: 8/20/2006 12:50:44 PM | About the only thing I can safely say is the constant need to vocalize their emotions, occasionally to the disdain of those around them
That's about the only stereotypical character-trait that I dread from time to time, because I am a very reserved person that strives to keep his emotions in check at all times, so I just have a hard time dealing with someone if they constantly whine about theirs. Note I said someone, meaning either man or woman that whines about their feelings... I've just noticed it a lot more with my female friends than my guy buddies (though we occasionally do discuss feelings over a beer when no women are around )

| Top few things that turn you off about women Posted: 8/20/2006 1:03:09 PM | | My biggest pet peeve has always been "Caddy" women. I don't want to hear about someone else's gossip or put down's.....I know I could never trust being around you. Who wants their dirty laundry spread around town? If you gossip then I know when i am not around you will be telling everyone about my sh*t and giving it your own warped twist. Men can be the same way so this is not to be generalized. | |

| Top few things that turn you off about women Posted: 8/20/2006 1:19:17 PM | Regarding indecisivness... Women (at least this woman) will typically say "I don't know" when asked what they want to do for the evening because they like to date men that have a plan and take the lead. It's not necessarily that we are indecisive, we just want for YOU to make a decision. | |

| Top few things that turn you off about women Posted: 8/20/2006 2:15:38 PM | I despise women that: a) falsely accuse men of harassment in the workplace - It costs men their jobs, ladies!! b) drama queens c) gold diggers( young beautiful women who marry successful, older, and often much less attractive persons than themselves ala Anna Nicole Smith; Heather Mills-McCartney) d) That many women dismiss you no matter how nice a person you are because they don't respect what you do for a living, or how much/little you make. | |

| Top few things that turn you off about women Posted: 8/20/2006 2:20:33 PM | 1. Complaining... about everything... only makes me wonder when you'll start complaining about me.
2. Not being satisfied. You shouldn't have to send back your order 15 times just to "have it your way"
3. Being mean. | |

| Top few things that turn you off about women Posted: 8/20/2006 2:47:20 PM | Some specific Items that have caused relationship trouble in the past... 1. Constant and/or blatent Fishing for compliments. Relationship-Ending-Turn-Off, right there. Go ahead and ask me if that dress makes you look fat, but don't be surprised or angry when I answer honestly that it does (or doesn't, as the case may be). 2. Constant Indecisiveness. If I didn't genuinely want your honest input, I wouldn't ask the question. 3. Lying, Cheating, and what-have-you. 4. Pretending to be an airhead beacause she thinks it's attractive to conform to stereotypes, or because she's lazy and just can't be bothered to think for herself. Ack! No thanks. 5. Assuming that I can read her mind. Ladies...just so you know...for the most part, guys say what they mean, and mean what they say. We think literally and linearily. And we are utterly confused as to how your brains work. It's not that we're insensitive, or don't care, or are trying to make you feel bad...but a statement that makes perfect sense to a guy's brain, and seems to be succinct, truthful, and to the point, will at the same time seem to a woman to be (your favorite negative adjective here). 6. Women who survive on their looks alone. Yes, you're very pretty...good for you. No, that does not entitle you to my buying you a drink, new wardrobe, car, etc... Substance and personality are important. I don't want a trophy. I want a partner. | |

| Top few things that turn you off about women Posted: 8/20/2006 2:49:47 PM | Many women seem to feel insecure and I don't know where that comes from....perhaps from.....
reading self-improvement books and watching crap shoes like Dr Phil....these are the shows that show you how crappy you are. They are NOT helpful...Dr Phil has just as many problems in his life as anybody else and why women get sucked into this industry is beyond me. His condescending rhetoric and easy answers will not make you a better person.

| Top few things that turn you off about women Posted: 8/20/2006 3:04:53 PM | 1. The revealing clothes some of you wear...if your showing off your body, how much self respect do you have. Also, the size of your cleveage isnt what all of us want to see or how short a skirt you can wear. Contrary to popular belief. (admittadly some do)
2. Yobbiness, Constant bad-mouthing other people because they do summit you dont agree with or generally being a complete twat.
3. The "dont mess with me or i'll get my b/f on you" line, heard this a few times - how sad do you get? if you cant fight it yourself, dont start it!
4. "what you bought me" or "can you buy me this" or even "i could really do with a new so and so (insert hint here)" do you not work earning your own money?...
5. Clubbers, (i went to a club ONCE and basically saw a bunch of tarts doing thier best to go home with anything with a pulse..if not, they were snorting something or other) - i admit, not all are like that but thats the impression i got.
6. Smokers.. this can turn me right off a person, sorry if it seems a bit arrogant, but i could be turned off a pretty, bubbly nice kind and caring person if i see them light up one of those cancer sticks and start puffing away..yuk
7. the feeling something isnt right and you cant trust them..
thats it for now, before this turns into a rant

| Top few things that turn you off about women Posted: 8/20/2006 3:56:06 PM | hmm .... let see where to start.
Trap door questions - Do you think my friends are pretty? (no right answer) or Does my A$$ look fat in these jeans? (its not the jeans)
Being mad at us when we dont know why and not telling us when we ask.
The assumption that we dont know where we are going
Tell us to do something, then telling us HOW to do that thing
Assuming something is wrong if we havent talked in like 10 mins.
Getting mad when we answer 'nothing' to the "what are you thinking about?" question when it really is the truth.
