| Meeting with someone who looks nothing like picture Posted: 3/11/2005 9:21:42 AM | Has anyone had the experience of meeting up with someone you met, to find out that they look nothing like the picture they have posted. Possible being a different person. I was mostly just pissed they were intentionally misleading. I mean whats the point of doing that, the other person is going to figure it out anyway.
[If you feel you have been completely mislead, Please let us Know/Ticket]

| Meeting with someone who looks nothing like picture Posted: 3/11/2005 12:51:51 PM | this happened to me last friday....his picture looked okay he was clean and dressed up in a suit..and we had chatted a few times via telephone. so we decided to meet for lunch.I drove around in the parking lot looking for a man fitting his discription.well when I drove around to the back there was a man sitting in a car that looked like what he had told me..only thing this man looked like a greasy dirty drunken, chain smoking bum...I pulled up for a closer look...and he had his head down when I rolled down the window he looked up at me with a ciggy dangling out of his mouth and was talking at the same time.......I got the most horrific view of the most rotted teeth I have rAN across in a long time. so now I am thinkin now what do I do? I decided being the nice person that I am...that I would drive around front and we would go have lunch we had lunch at a chinese buffet...and the whole time we were sitting there I just could not stop staring at his rotted popcorn stubs....wishing they served alcohol at this point...he proceeded to tell me how MY PHOTO did not do me justice, and I looked even more pretty in person..he made me so ill I wanted to throw my plate at him and run out the door...but I stayed till the end. as we were walking out the door and walked across the parking lot I was thinkin just get the key in the door and jump in and say bye....but he wedged himself between me and the door while he talked about me being his girlfriend......IN YOUR DREAMS!! I sAId i had to get going and needed to jet out,so he grabbed me up and gave me a hug...I figure I can wash my clothes and take a shower later..and I made sure I turned my head so he could not sneak in a kiss....well when I turned and started to pull away he kissed me full on the lips...I put my key in the door and jumped in trying not to talk..and grabbed a clorox clean up cloth and scrubbed my lips raw...gross!!!..the worst part of this was he had told me he had been ill with a sinus infection ,but went to the doctor for some antibiotics...and was starting to feel better....wel guess what...who is sitting here right now sick as a dog with the flu and coughing like thier is no bodys business I will never be so nice in that situation ever again...if I have this happen again...you bet your ass I am burning rubber out da parkin lot... | |

| Meeting with someone who looks nothing like picture Posted: 3/11/2005 1:04:00 PM | Hairdo...was it good for you, as it was for you? hehe
I'm about falling out of my chair laughing now...dang I hope that doesn't happen to me. You mean you didn't recognize that was the same guy with a cardboard sign at the interesection saying, "Will work for Food (alcohol)?"
Anyways, I think the picture you saw was him all dolled up, or professionally done...another thing, try to avoid the people with Glamour Shots, or at least get a more 'Everyday' photo of someone.

| Meeting with someone who looks nothing like picture Posted: 3/11/2005 2:15:08 PM | | OMG! Hairdo41 That is a bad one . I got one for ya here tough. I flew to Tampa from NYC to meet a guy that I had been online with for TWO YEARS! When I got off the plane , he was a total of 5' if that & 10 years older then the picture he had been using! I asked him about it, He said that it was a picture of his younger brother. Me being the nice person I am had planned to stay a week . I had booked a room at a nice hotel. He tells me he has bboked me a cheaper place. When we got there , NOT only was it some crack row motel but, he thought he would be staying there with me! The next day, paid 100.00 on my airline ticket just to get out of Tampa & back to the safety of NYC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | |

| Meeting with someone who looks nothing like picture Posted: 3/11/2005 4:56:16 PM | | In a perfect world everyone would post a pic each of the everyday look, just woke up look, made up to look your best look, full body image, facial closeup, side view image and they would all be dated at present. I think that would take care of it! LMAO | |

| Meeting with someone who looks nothing like picture Posted: 3/13/2005 6:40:58 PM | | It happens to me all the time. Most of the women that I have actually met all use a picture that is at least 10 years old. Why they think that being dishonest from the start helps anything is beyond me. | |

| Meeting with someone who looks nothing like picture Posted: 3/14/2005 6:29:50 AM | Yes, met a fellow for a cup of coffee.
Claimed he was 53, and his picture was about that age... then, he shows up this old, schriveled man, he couldn't have been a day under 70!! He said his picture was a couple years old.... year put a zero after that 2.... 20 is more like it.
I learned a lesson there: Now, I don't judge anyone by their picture, infact I don't even ask for one until I have been sending messages. This picture isn't important anyway. If the man is not telling the truth, it will show in our conversations over time..and I am not meeting anyone anyhow till I am sure I know enough. I have asked this before... since you know that the picture may be false anyhow...why do you insist that you don't chat with anyone if they don't have a picture?

| Meeting with someone who looks nothing like picture Posted: 3/14/2005 6:40:00 AM | I must be unique. I've met a few from other dating sites and the pictures on their profile didn't do them justice at all. They were much more attractive in person. Dated 2 of them and the third emailed the next day and said that she started a serious relationship with someone and took down her profile. Funny though it popped up again the next month. LOL | |

| Meeting with someone who looks nothing like picture Posted: 3/14/2005 7:01:33 AM | What a great topic, interesting views...and omg oh so funny story hairdo..that must be every girls (and guys) nightmare come true. Unfortunately, I have nothing to contribute, except that the only reason I don't post my pic on profile is cos I don't want to be recognised, lol, not that I'm a celebrity or anything..just my god, what if someone from work saw it...or family member..and I don't know why that would bother me, cos if I saw theirs, which has never happened, but if i did so what!!! | |
