| What are some of the most annoying terms to be used ? Posted: 8/23/2006 1:13:09 PM | Ok, I was bored, flipping through profiles many people use the same terms on here to decribe the person they are or seeking. A few of them, while are in good meaning don't stand too strong in my books. Example: I am like the girl next door
Now if she is like the girl next door, well I don't want to know her cause my neighbour is a pain in the ass always complaining about everything and always has to be right or she will make your life a living hell.
#2 Save a horse, ride a cowboy
Now if I go out and blow $150 or more on boots and blow another $100 on a hat. Does that mean my chances increase cause now I seem to have the cowboy look going ???
Ok, so what terms do you see where in real life, it's more of a nightmare then increasing your chances of finding a mate/love/gf/bf/friend etc etc etc ?

Although, I am guilty of using something along that lines in my own profile. eek! I should change that since it bugs me so much in other people's profiles. OOPS!

| What are some of the most annoying terms to be used ? Posted: 8/23/2006 1:46:05 PM | The biggest one I recall that makes me wonder, the ones that come across as being the 'I only want a partial relationship'
ie. ....I am a mother of x# of children and I am not looking for a father for my children as they already have one of those...I'm looking for someone for me..'
To me it doesn't add up, it's like having a house built that is so beautiful you can't wait to move in but.... No doors.?.? Well we had those at the last house.. How do we get in..? You don't, you just look at it.

"No liars please"
"No married men pretending to be single"
"Not looking for someone to lead me on just to get laid"
Like any of those people are going to decide to be honest because someone has asked for honesty?

She stated that I can talk to her kids, play with her kids but I was mostly gonna be there for her, not her kids. lol I was like ok, so if I ever came over, it would have to be when the kids weren't there and her only one word reply was " exactly " Can't wait if we were to get married " hey kids you know that guy who you met 2-3 times - well we are getting married " after dating for say 6 months to a year or 2 lol Oh the ex took the kids once every other weekend - so I would end up dating or seeing her for 3 days out of 14 -- not bad lol
Here is a term I want a sweet caring man I am pretty sure that we are all sweet and caring at one point.

I have seen a couple of guys put on thier profile that they are not looking for a mother for thier children, 'they already have a good one'....and both of them couldn't have been further from the truth.

"A man who will treat me the way I deserve." - I'm pretty sure she didn't mean humiliated in public and kicked to the curb.
"A man who knows how to treat a woman." - Err? Badly? Well? Please specify.
"Makes me feel special." - This is code for spoil me rotten. If you don't mean that CHANGE IT...LoL.

| What are some of the most annoying terms to be used ? Posted: 8/23/2006 2:25:29 PM | | "I like my space!" means I want you only when I have time for you - not when you might happen to need me. Oh and I'll come for a booty call when I need it, but you can't ask for one when you need it. In other words I'll use ya when I want to. | |

| What are some of the most annoying terms to be used ? Posted: 8/23/2006 2:31:51 PM | The most annoying term used to date is...... "No Players Need Apply!" Pleeeeeease! Enough with the cheese factor! We get it already! You are the most Intuitive Woman to ever walk this Earth and anyone who even dares to attempt to seduce you with Lies and Deceptions will certainly pay for thier mistakes!
Nuff' said already! Chhhhhhrist almighty!!!!!!!!! Do you really believe in some small fantasy world that specifying this Statement will deterr any of these 'So Called Players' from your life????? Probably will intrigue them into it more!!!!!!!!!! ("Now here's a challenge" syndrome)
Stop telling People and MEN what you do NOT want and start telling us what you ACTUALLY do Want! Here's an example....I do not want to get a PITCHFORK to the Head today! ....... ............................I DO want someone who is reliable!
Ciao, Alberto P. aka. " Playas' are the sh!t. All you biAtches need to reconize!!!! "

Men use that line too! Is there no common sense anymore? I mean who would really VOLUNTEER to be a door mat?
The phrases people use that should be SO obvious is what annoys me, especially .... no wait, actually exclusively when they are SERIOUS! I do enjoy a little tongue in cheek humour if it can be taken that way...
Have yet to see the profile that says "Treat me like crap" as a headline!

| What are some of the most annoying terms to be used ? Posted: 8/24/2006 10:09:06 PM | 1. "I'm looking for a princess to pamper." Yech, yech, yech... wigs me out. Am I going to wear a pointy hat and be diapered? I don't think so. Stop looking for princesses. Sheesh.
2. Same as above. "I only want honest people." Both honest people and liars are going to call themselves honest... that's why they lie!
3. Something about the "nice guy winning." I'm sure you think you're a nice guy... I'm sure lots of people think they're nice guys. Be specific, will ya?
Okay... that felt good venting, actually.
Oh, one more, one more... people who fill their profile with every single emoticon. Why?!

| What are some of the most annoying terms to be used ? Posted: 8/24/2006 11:23:58 PM | It bothers me when people say in their profiles that the people they write to should "have the courtesy to reply whether they're interested or not".
It also really annoys me when people say they have "no baggage". Especially if they say they have "no children, no baggage".

| What are some of the most annoying terms to be used ? Posted: 8/25/2006 7:50:34 AM | Ive always found it annoying when a guys profile says...
'my kid/kids are number one in my life and that will NEVER change'...or something to that effect.
I just think its strange that men feel the need to state the obvious like that. Makes me wonder if theyre over compensating for being a part time dad.

| What are some of the most annoying terms to be used ? Posted: 8/25/2006 3:23:48 PM | "Just looking for fun"
Usually that means with anyone else except you. But I am OK with that, at least I can filter the ones that only want to chat and not really looking for anything. Full time smutters. Sure we get bored sometimes, but time is more valuable when productively used. Like a POF party (or maybe not to some).
