When done with that he made ballons for me and people in the resturant. Then took me out to see again HIS puppets. It was all about him. I dont think he had one serious thing to say every thing had to be in jokes. Need I say more. I dont think he found out one thing about me other than whats on my profile. I was never so happy to see it end. | |

Posted: 8/31/2006 5:12:34 PM | | It sucks when you are out on a date with someone and they are on their cell phone making dates with others in front of you or it is all about them. I went out on a date with one to the movies one night and during the movie his cell phone rang, didnt even have the decency to turn off the phone and talked about his ex on how she left him, her attitude, her personality, everything about her and him together, about his kids and about him. Needless to say, I was glad to make it home. I must have heard 20 times about his ex mostly. I hope I never wind up on another date like that where one talks about himself or his family members constantly and repeat himself like this one did. I am actually glad after that nite I have never heard or saw him again. Do I attract these types of guys or what? I hope I never meet up with someone like that again. | |

Now I am not a diminutive guy at 6 ft 3 in, but this woman was a monster! We had dinner at a fondue place with very low couches around a table and the poor thing looked like a Praying Mantis when she sat. Her knees were even with my head. She had a terrific personality and was attractive but after one dance, we both knew it was ridiculous to try to continue.  | |

Posted: 9/3/2006 6:27:55 PM | | lol.... ok call me crazy... i invited a guy down from orlando to go out with me and a friend of mine. i told him to bring one of his friends (safety in numbers) and he showed up alone so he could "pimp" both of us. we go out for drinks and he insisted we all be on the same tab. he hit on my friend when i went to the bathroom and stuck his hand up my skirt when she walked away. at the end of the night when the bill came, he excused himself and walked out the door. he called me from my car and asked me how long we were going to be with the bill and saying goodbye... i left him in the parking lot. i still dont know how or when he got home.... lol... | |

ok i was searching the memory banks....came up with a bad one...was shortest on record too....i was supposed to go out to a movie with this guy....he showed up at my house...and proceeded to literally jump my bones...i'd never met him...he turned out to be not as cute as his photo and yet he automatically thinks i'm gonna sleep with him when he comes to pick me up for our movie date....he got mad that i pushed him away....and left...later he actually asked if i would try again....oh god...
ok and a funny one...when the guy came to pick me up, he decided to pet my cat nemo...Nemo pretends to be nice...he rubs on strangers and acts sweet, then attacks when u least expect it...well he attacked...and the guy was bleeding...and he had a white shirt on...we had to wash his shirt and dry it before we could go out....
i met a guy once who told me he was 5ft6...i dont have a problem with height...as long as their truthful...well i'm 5'7''...so it wasn't a huge difference...well on paper it wasn't...when i showed up, he was more like five ft tall...did he think i wouldn't notice? | |

Posted: 9/3/2006 8:28:27 PM | Let's see... well I've met two girls from the net in person and both were not what they said they were.
One girl was about 30 lbs heavier than she said, definitely about 5 years older, had horrible breath and wanted to make out the entire time... I wasn't even going to go there... being near her was like smelling a port-a-potty! I paid for dinner and called it a night after almost an hour of boring, smelly conversation and kiss dodging.
The other girl was dealing with a bad breakup and her ex was shadowing us the entire time... not to mention that she didn't look anything like her pic. I did feel bad for her dealing with a psycho ex, but I'm not the one to put up with unneeded drama. I bailed as soon as politely possible. | |

Posted: 9/4/2006 8:46:26 AM | hey what's wrong with bottle blondes...i was born with white blonde hair which slowly changed....til i was 19 and became blonde again...if u dont like it blame billy idol...he was my inspiration then for it....
but yeah...why do people lie about what they look like? Ok so i'll admit, i'm on a few sites and have been for a few years, in between a few serious relaitonships i've had over the years...and i see the same people everywhere...i keep my photos up to date...took these latest ones yesterday....but these guys have the same photo up they had two and three years ago...now i know they have changed...i know that i have...why not update? i mean damn...i will even offer to take new photos of people so they can have new ones to post
i'm up front that i'm not thin...but men in their infinite wisdom always say...oh no u look fine in your photos...photos are deceptive...and i'm a good photographer...the majority of men i've gone out with say i look better in person, but there are a few who obviously thought i didn't look as good...
i went out with a guy two years ago, who said he was 34 and he was clearly older than i was...and looked like his photo just older...so i assume it's not just women but men as well who lie about their age....you can be anyone when you are on the internet...which is why it's good to talk here and on phone for awhile first so you get a sense of who the person is and what they are about...too many times men have been adamant about meeting right away....and that's just not my style... | |

Posted: 9/4/2006 8:54:10 AM | After reading what has been written so far, I am just amazed at the incredibly unacceptable social behavior that some people will inflict on others particularly in a dating situation. Grow up, get therapy, go back to sandbox 101 and pay attention, become an active member in dramamamaandpapa or suffer alone!
Personally, I have no such horror story to tell. I have a combination of good karma, a hard-working angel on my shoulder, personal safety strategies, and perhaps the gift of discernment...ny street sense some call it...good gut instincts coupled with an unwillingness to...how to put this nicely?...oh hell, can't stop the ny'er in me...take shit from anyone. first time shame on you. second time, shame on ME.
I can now better empathize with people who become disenchanted with the dating scene...to you i say, don't become bitter and jaded, but let the experience(s) teach you lessons that improve your gut instincts. smiles-pw | |

Posted: 9/4/2006 8:55:04 AM | As for the large people......I was chatting with this lady for a couple weeks and asked her to dinner as she lived about ten minutes from where I worked. Never saw a photo and I believe and give people the benifit of the doubt that their profile is accurate (I know, how stupid is that,,just me though) Profile said 5'6" and 140-150lbs ........She gave me directions to her condo (wrong I might add) When I knocked on the door and she answered I was shocked to see someone as wide as the door, and I'm not exagerating one bit, at least 350lbs......lol...
I still took her to dinner and had to decline her offer to come in when I dropped her off.....
I guess the term "about average" depends on who you hang out with and not much in the way of definitive terminology......LOL...... | |

Posted: 9/4/2006 9:04:36 AM | I think most of these incidents were first dates....blind dates...first meetings with someone met online....where lying is rampant...i think many of us have good instincts...and maybe mine are getting more honed which is why i turn down so many dates and end up spending most of my time alone or with friends these days....but one cannot help it if the person on the other end is lying about themselves...while i have met tremendously honest people who are up front about their ''baggage'' many do not...my last bf didn't tell me he sold drugs on the side...until we'd been seeing one another and were all into one another...but he had the decency and sense that we couldn't be together...i was too good for him and came clean...another didn't tell me he smoked and was an alcoholic because he knew i wouldn't even make that first date with him...we spent three days in orlando and he didn't do either while he was hanging out with me...people, especially those with addictions have been lying most of their life and have become quite good at hiding their addictions and lying about them....
i could easily say i'm younger as i look younger...but i think it's more amazing to put my real age and have people say wow...u look and act younger...I can angle my photos and not show my extra ''thickness'' and then put that i'm average weight, but why? i know people are going to notice when we meet...
i have nothing to hide, but many people think they do...they're not confident enough in themeselves to be open and honest....they're afraid no one will like the ''real'' person they are...so they lie...
and people with bad hygeine often dont realize it...and those who only talk about ''themselves'' the entire date...those are things u can't predict unless u spend some time getting to know them a bit before the first date.... | |

Posted: 9/4/2006 9:13:35 AM | ok ''about average" it's been well documented, the average size woman in the US is a size 14, but were innundated with size 0's on tv so we think that is average and anyone over that is just fat....
while i'm a size 14, I would never say i was average...i'm thick....and according to ''white men'' i'm fat....this doesn't bother me...i like myself and my body...i could use some toning, but i'm not going to sweat about it...i'm healthy and active...and far more happy than i was when i was counting every calorie and skipping meals to become thinner
some women believe(my friend is like this) that not putting up a photo and letting a person get to know the real you will make a difference with men...but it doesn't...and i'm sure the same goes for women as well | |

I'd rather be a good mommy than a great date...anyway I've been pursued by men who clearly stated on their profiles that they DIDN'T want a woman with kids - when I pointed this out, they said something to the effect of, "Well, I didn't really mean it." There are plenty of sex personals sites out there if the physical attraction part is all that matters right?
On topic, I once went out with a guy (not a blind date, this was several weeks into the dating) and after we were...uh....intimate, he disappeared into the bathroom for about 45 minutes - complete with smells and sounds -- I felt sorry for him at first but it happened TWICE more in the next few weeks!!! Did I do something wrong? LOL | |

Posted: 9/4/2006 3:21:04 PM | Here's another,,,,I guess I just seem to find'em......Had been seeing this lady for about two weeks. We had dinner at her house one night, cooked her my specialty, then we went out . Being new to the area she told me how she would show me this, take me here and there and be my tour guide, we had a great night, dropped her off around 9:30-10:00 because she had to work in the morning (home health care nurse) but we made dinner plans and reservations for the next evening. I stopped by my neighborhood pub on my way back and finally upon arriving home around midnight I found this message on my machine " I need a more take charge guy, one that can show me places and take me here and there, so let's just forget about tomorrow" (remember, I'm new to the area) So I figured Oh Well....End of story???? No way...LOL...The next day I go Jet Skiing figuring the "Just forget about tomorrow" meant just that.....I check my email about 8pm and there was a message from her calling me "a self centered **stard and all I think about is myself".......Not sure what that was about I replayed her message, maybe I mis-interpreted it.....Nope, said forget about tomorrow.....I emailed asking why the nasty email and she informed me I never called, didn't show up and missed our dinner date.....Hmmmmmm
I figure I've got a live one here and need to find out what she's all about (I know, I shoulda just walked, but my curiosity usually wants to know why, what, etc...lol) When I informed her, by typing out her message to me I found on my answering machine, she kinda blew it off and thought she'd give me a second chance....lol.....I'm thinking WOW, what a girl.... ....So,,,,lol,,,,,,We make arrangements to cook dinner at her place the next friday, she was going to cook me dinner......I call her around 3:30 and told her I'd be there about 6:30, all was wonderful....I get there at 6:30 and have to beat on the door because knocking didn't seem to work.....She finally answers the door,,,So drunk and unkept she could hardly talk let alone stand up.
I spied 2 really nice porterhouse steaks on the counter marinating. she had made a large salad ealier so I laid her on the couch, grilled the steaks, had dinner, let her little dogs out, filled their water bowl and went home.........Now who says guys only want sex??? Throw a 2 inch portehouse on the barbie and I'm ok with that...... She then berated me the next day for caring about her condition and after asking her if she would like any help.....Wow, that was a mistake.......at that point I walked away........ | |

Posted: 9/4/2006 4:54:14 PM | nowake...u should have walked away after that first bout of craziness...but yeah i know from experience sometimes curiousity gets the better of us...and no one wants to always think the worst so you do give some people another chance...this woman was clearly whacked...and from her behavior she could be a drinker...i dated one and his erratic behavior became way too much to handle...
