Posted: 8/31/2006 4:51:49 PM | I'm not talking every day or even every week. True, pot is illegal, alcohol is not. However, I think it should be the other way around. I do drink on occasion but I think that alchohol makes most people belligerent and idiotic and drunks of either sex are never attractive. I'm very responsible, raised my son alone for the most part and was a very good mother (my son does not smoke pot). My bills get paid, food gets bought and I'm never in trouble with the law, I am extremely discreet which for me is a necessity. My M.D. knows that I smoke and he says for me it seems to be a good thing since I am on the hyper side. I was in L.A. during the seventies which is when I started and when I get old you can wave to me as you pass by my house and see me on the porch in my rocker toking up, lol.

Posted: 8/31/2006 5:53:20 PM | I'm in complete agreement. I feel like the law that bans pot is completely hypocritical and intended mostly to earn extra cash from catching people doing it and giving them fines--not to mention that the government might also be afraid to admit that they were wrong.
I smoke pot--daily for the last 12 years! I got good grades (even graduated at the top of my class). I have a good job. I pay my bills. I'm an otherwise law-abiding citizen. Why does the government have a right to tell me I can drink myself into a coma, smoke cigerettes till I can't breath, but can't toke on some pot every now and then?

They show commercials with unemployed 30yr olds, teens zoning on the couch, getting their fists stuck in their mouths, trying to out run a dog, all because they smoked pot. Now, anyone who has ever smoked pot will tell you...they are not going to try to out run a dog when they are stoned. No way! "It will lead to stronger drugs" That is not true. I know many people who have careers, and even own businesses, that enjoy token' on occasion...and have been for 20-30yrs...Never did any other drug. There is a difference between use and abuse. | |

Posted: 9/1/2006 8:00:44 AM | I never was big into it. It just never agreed with me, but I have friends that love the H-E-double hockey sticks out of it.
I wouldn't have a problem with a woman who smoked pot on occassion, but as long as that means I'm not dealing with a slow speaking, Bob Marley superfan, whose wardrobe consist of nothing but torn jeans, tye-dye shirts.
I don't want to deal with a woman who is stoned all the time anymore than I want to deal with a woman who is drunk all the time.
I won't lie...it's how the woman approaches me with it. If feels the need to announce this right off the bat then I'm probably going to shy away. If she acts no different because she has a handle on it then I find out, I'd probably be more inclined to stick around because I've already accepted who she is and this just happens to be one more thing that makes her who she is.
I don't believe in the slippery slope argument that pot leads to stronger drugs and if it does then all the more reason to legalize it, get it out the hands of crack dealers, tax the heck out of it and use that money to combat deadlier drugs.
How does the number of Pot related deaths compare with those of Cigerettes or Alcohol?
I don't have a problem with Pot, but I can't stand Pot-heads and their let's wind the clock back to the 60's mentality. | |

Posted: 9/1/2006 8:50:58 AM | the doctors and the surgeon general all say that cigarette smoking causes lung cancer, alcohol causes liver damage, and smoking pot eats away at your brain cells..............
thinking about what steve said..............look at what happened in the 60's and even the early 70's....there was the cigarette smoking, beer drinking, joint totin' hippies..........they were the coolest around (from what i was told) and some of them are still cool now. smoking a joint once in a while is believed to be known as one of natures miracles......and believe it or not so are cigarettes. i call cigarettes my sanity sticks since i haven't touched a joint in over 2 years. cigarettes also tend to help the average man curve his appetite. smoking a joint mellows people out just as long as it's not abused.
the government is taking away everyone's rights as a voter..........this has not been a "free" country since i would say back in the early 80's.
we're not allowed to walk out in public with an open alcoholic beverage.......
some states are banning saying the pledge of allegience in schools......
some cities are banning smoking out in public places........
there are too many things that the government is taking away from everyone. sad thing about it is we, the people voted these crack-heads in office.....
damn, i wish i had the money to run for office.............me personally, i would bring back a lot of our rights as people, as voters. i would bring back the our constitutional rights that we all had to learn about in school.......................i would turn back the time without really turning it back. from what i see, the more we have our constitutional rights taken away from us the worse this country is getting.

Didn't know about the blood pressure thing but it does make sense with why it helps a headache. Being a person who gets migraines I know from experience that this is true. Sometimes my migraines are so bad that I have to smoke just to be able to keep down a glass of water and some Excedrin. When I don't have pot on days like that I end up lieing in bed in seriously bad shape--feeling like I'm dieing practically--and throw up constantly, eating only ice chips to keep me from getting too dehydrated.
Once, I had to work and I felt really nauseas before I left. I couldn't call out because I needed money and they were busy so I smoked three hits off a bowl. I wasn't the slightest bit high or stoned but I didn't throw up all day and could work through my shift feeling okay.
There are so many reasons it should be legal--there is not ONE reason to justify it remaining illegal. | |

Posted: 9/18/2006 7:40:54 PM | I don't know if any of you ever watch "Montel" in the afternoon's, he has been stricken with MS and has it very quite severly...and sometimes the only way he can controll his pain is by doing a few blunts before work...now he even talks about this on his TV show. And is trying to get legislation for it..but you and I both know that the government won't want it legalized..
Too much money in it being on the black market...in the meantime those that really need it for their true pain, like for MS, fibromyalgia...and other true disorders.. will go on suffering. Thanks to the government once more...
Just my personal Opiniion...but dang something should be done..
I have some mircowave popcorn that might do in a pinch...lol. | |

If you both regularly smoke pot, why do you put on your profile that you don't do drugs? I spent some time in my life dealing with women that were always high, and won't do it again. I think it shows poor judgement. And if you haven't outgrown it, maybe you have a more serious problem that needs attention.
You know you are doing something illegal, you also lie about it, so I would wonder what else you lie about. Doing drugs is a offense that would get you fired at my job and I guess many others. If you got fired from your job and couldn't support your kids, would you like them to know why you got fired?

LOL me i tried it once and never tried it again. my brother and his girlfriend/baby momma, yeah true weed heads they are. but i do see your points and i have my own. pot itself in just the "grass" form of the early 70's is best. the weed these days is not the weed of those days. i watch the local drug dealers who mostly sell weed , they cant even run from the cops anymore, too slow, and they are not always as cohearent as they should be. pot these days has way too many other things mixed in it. Angel dust, embalming fluid, blackice, meth, all kinds of things. my bro and his girl smoke about 5 blunts a day. yeah they are real smokers. and i watch how they function about it too. they smoke wayyyy too much. they get soo lazy and dont do house chores, eat too much snacks and not real food, forget to do things cause they are so laid back and high. I do not want to be in a relationship with a woman who smokes pot. not just because its labled illegal but because its just not the element i want around me and my kids. a woman i was talking too for a bit smoked weed with her 16 and 18 year old kids. not cool at all. and i dont want that image of :its ok to do" in my kids head. wait till they are 18 and 21 to decide on their own, not my home, not around me,and no i am not giving them any money to go buy some. forget that. i know you all say what you say but i have always heard only people that smoke weed say that. like a crackhead would say no to drugs.lol but alas you are not at that point and probly will never be. but there are some who do try to find that more get high that you dont seek. so legalizing it will also cause alot of issues too. drug dealers will be out of business especially cause if it did get legal than the pharmacies will be the ones who make the really big money from it. well they will be out of the weed business. people will even start growing it themselves. everybody cant sell it who smoke it. thats why drug dealers prosper so much from it, you need it to be illegal in some forms. personal gains. but the turn around would be if the pharmacies sold it cheaper than the drug dealers then its a wrap. I live and grown up in the hood of hoods, so i know its outcome extremely well. even the dealers congregate about the thoughts of what would happen if it became legal. Hurt their business and kill their pockets. So i say to all smokers:just enjoy what you have been doing all these years and more to come. and think ., if they make weed legal then what is next, people who do other things will want theirs legal too just like you want yours. only fair, right? | |
