| | Would you date a cop?Page 1 of 11 (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11) | Okay been talking to a girl for a while, she is 5, 4 cute little blonde girl. Had no pic up but sent me a few in private. She had legal written down in her profile. I assumed something to do with lawyer stuff. Then she surprised the hell out of me today and told me she is a police officer. I am always one for words, but kind of left me speechless, in no way would I have ever guessed that. We have plans this week to go out.
Would this change things for you, or would you date a cop? Expecially guy answers here. | |

Personally, I'd probably have issues dating a cop. Reason? My Dad's a retired cop....so whenever I do see a guy in uniform now, it reminds me of my Dad each and every time (whether they look alike or not, I still think the guy looks like my Dad because of the uniform). | |

Like most, i'd have the fear of him getting hurt or even worst killed on the job. The hatred some people have for police is very scary. But i'd always be so proud of him because of what he does and i'd always have the most respect for him. | |

Lol, I acutally told her I would leave out all those questions and continue to get to know her like we have been doing. But, kind of hard to do, the role portrayed of the female officer is the agressive dominant type lol. I have a thing for any man who puts himself on the line and braves through unique situations, and sporting a handsome uniform while he's doing it! Careers like firefighting, police officer and military all have a great risk factor, but that would make me even more proud of him!

I know very, very few female officers that are the tough, aggressive, dominant type. Actually that type of personality just asks for trouble in that profession. That kind of personality and behaviour tends to put the other person on the defensive and things can go downhill pretty quickly after that. An officer needs to be confident in their abilities and able to diffuse situations, protect the public and themselves.
Just remind her, if she's going to bring the cuffs home, not to forget the key. Nothing, and I mean nothing, is more embarrassing than having to call into work and have your supervisor come and uncuff your boyfriend from the bed!!
(and then explain why you took your handcuffs home to begin with)

She did a backround check, found out I was telling the truth that I didn't have any warrants out for my arrest and all was dandy. As long as you can handle what she does for a living it shouldn't make a difference. My only bug for me was that she couldn't leave the job at work. Anytime we went out it was " oh if we were in my car I would pull him over or I should bust that guy right now " Hell I was such and angel I didn't even spit on the ground cause it was to the point where I was afraid she had her ticket book in her purse | |
