Posted: 3/16/2005 11:44:19 PM | | Should a woman get a boob job because her partner is attracted to big chested women and swears it'll enhance their sex life. If a woman is comfortable with her body then she shouldn't have it done. Surgery is surgery. Often times the boobs look fake. They are perfectly round and wouln't budge even if they were hit by a hurricane. You can see all the stretch marks because the person's skin wasn't meant to be stretched that much. Is her partner willing to have a penil implant if she wants a longer penis. Where does a person draw the line. I'm not opposed to surgery it if it's not taken too far. Michael Jackson is the perfect example of that. He's had his nose done so many times he barely has any cartilage left. His nostrils look like they are stuck together. How can this man breathe properly. Yikes !!! A person should be realistic about the surgery if they choose to pursue it. They should research it thoroughly. Now the risks involved. Check out the doctor via the Internet or by other means. Make sure he or she is licensed to practice surgery. See if the surgeon has any complaints or malpractice suits pending against him or her. I think a person should do it to IMPROVE on their looks and not to look like SOMEONE else (actor, musician ...). Too much plastic surgery makes a person look fake. You see people who have had so much plastic surgery it's as if there skin is so tight on their face. I've actually seen pictures of people who looked better before the surgery. My sister had a nose job done many years ago. She was always taunted as a kid for her nose. As a result she was really self conscious about that ONE feature. Having the surgery really boosted her self confidence and self esteem. She wasn't self conscious about her profile after that. She had it done for the right reasons. If someone has a ton of procedures done then they probably have to deal with issues that plastic surgery will not correct. If you don't feel good about yourself and happy with who you are as a person no amount of plastic surgery in the world will make a person feel good. Also, if a person goes into a surgeon's office and wants a nose like this star, lips like another star .... they will end up looking like a freak. They fail to realize that these features might look nice seperately but putting them all together on the same face might not work. Just because a certain nose looks good on one person it might not look good on your face. It really depends on a persons bone structure and other stuff. Also I feel liposuction is overused. What ever happened to diet and exericse to loose the weight. I guess some people want a quick fix or the easy way out. A person doesn't put on 30 lbs in a week and shouldn't expect to loose it within a week. It takes time to loose it. A person has to change their eating habits and lifestyle to take it off and keep it off. Yes, it means doing some form of exercise for the rest of your life. | |

I dated a girl with implants once and they were awful. They felt like hard grapefruit.
Worse is they were pointing off in different directions.
I mean she actually had wall-eyed breasts. Remember Marty Feldman? Young Frankenstein as igor? His eyes, her breasts.
I hate the expression "Keep it real", but in this case it applies.

Posted: 3/17/2005 12:51:49 AM | No, absolutely not! I write novels and have done a lot of research on plastic surgery for one of them. There are so many dangers despite the fact that thousands upon thousands of people have plastic surgery done every year. You can get blood clots that will stop your heart; brain tumors (yes, I know, every doctor will say these fatal tumors aren't caused by extensive plastic surgery when someone with a lot of plastic surgery dies of them), infection, faulty suturing, and it goes on.
I have a POF friend that wants to do this and I've written extensively to her not to.

Posted: 3/17/2005 1:35:15 AM | I have an ex who's previous ex had wanted her to wax her privates. Her solution for this was that she would wax her privates if she could first pull 10 hairs out of his. She did this in a sufficiently slow and painful manner that by number 5 he had sworn off ever bothering her about it again.
One might be able to suggest temproary testing: "ill wear a wonderbra to bed tonight if I can epilady your back first" 
You might want to set a tape recorder first just to preserve the screaming for posterity | |

As for liposuction, if there was a medical reason for having it done (a necessity) well maybe so. A friend of mine had breast implants, yrs. later one sac ruptured and she had the silicone running through her body, and had to have both removed. So she went from a tiny breast size, to a normal breast size and back to a tiny breast size. | |

If you don't like yourself ..nobody else will and changing yourself doesn't necessarily solve that problem....But hey if you want to be 90 years with perky breast and a bubble butt..go for it...lol | |
