Do you believe it is right and proper for people who bait someone into a public reaction in these threads to get off scot free while the person who was baited into a reaction gets kicked off the website? I see it again and again. Why can't people just move on from the past and let bygones be bygones, let it go, and with a healthy outlook keep looking for mr/ms right? | |

Posted: 3/17/2005 3:19:59 PM | From my understanding, one person posted about an experience he had gone through - never mentioned anyone, used no vulgar language nor was he in any way violating any rules.
The person who was "baited" as you put it responded to the post with obsenities and anger, therefore violating rules and causing herself to get deleted.
By continueing these threads all that's being done is drawing more attention to what you state hurt you originally. And that can possibly be providing some satisfaction to your "attacker" seeing that he's still in your head and upseting you.
We are all responsible for ourselves and how we let others affect us. | |

There was no "attack" against the poster ... and this punching bag is not getting any sort of satisfaction in witnessing as an aimless cause rages. Deletion of the "baited" party from POF is moot since she switched identities immediately after she surfaced. I know who she is and I know her identity ... and please note: I am respecting her anonymity and her right to be on POF. She is no longer contacting me ... so it's in the past and forgiven by myself.

So some one spouted off on the Boards, big deal, we are Adults, I'm sure we have all seen someone lose their Kewl sometime or other in our lives...
If something Offends you, don't read it, move on to the next thread... Either that, or POF should install a Filter program that Allows us to dicated what we will see and won't see... I know the program is out there... Places like Yahoo Games and MSN The Zone have this program...
No reason to kick someone off the Site for giving another a hard time, that is why we can Block them... Now if they follow the person from Thread to Thread harrassing them, maybe their Posting rights could be suspended for a time limit, maybe 3 days first offense... Then a week 2nd offense... 3rd offense, no longer allowed on the Forums, but can still use the site to find a Mate... | |

Posted: 3/19/2005 5:33:10 PM | I have had this happen to me too. Infact, I wrote to the mods asking why/how it is that this person could send me email to my regular account that was very nasty and rude. The email was from this site, but no name signed.
I know of some who left this site because they were harassed into leaving. But, the harassers continue. I see their postings here, and I get upset to know that they are still doing this to others...but, I am learning to just look elsewhere. | |

Heres what happened.... ex and i have been divorced 9yrs i have full custody of both kids,anyway it seems whenever he breaks up or a g/f dumps him he is back on my doorstep looking for a way back in.....in the past it has ruined several realtionships but i sapose those weren't meant to be and won't dwell on those,point being i am now in a new realtionship and very happy kids are very happy even the dog likes him which she don't take kindly to new people....anyways we are all happy except the ex,i mean after nine years you would think he would move on NEWP he just has to stick his nose in my life and play headgames with the kids like who's mom with what's she doing etc etc,Steve has told me that he is here for the long haul and that makes me very happy,but dam will the ex ever just go away? | |

Refer to the post where "someone" gained a young girl's confidence by having her email her privately, then that "someone" went online and told the whole world that the person who posted the thread was lying. This all coming from "someone" who has done nothing BUT lie ever since she joined this site, as evidenced by reading through her former posts. If anyone deserves to be kicked off PERMANENTLY, it is that "someone".
Yes, people who are so openly miserable and try to hide it in the name of "sharing their story to help others heal", and who feels the need to call attention to other's "lies" is only covering their own tracks so no one will notice how they have lied and so she can get all the "woe is me" sympathy she might be missing if others pay attention to someone else. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! | |
