| Strangest "gift" I ever got.
Posted: 9/19/2006 8:34:25 PM | I was dating a guy once, and he was a real yard sale freak. One night, he pulled out a box of sex toys that he SAID he had bought in a sex shop for us. I was SHOCKED!! Who just goes out without his partner and buys sex toys to use on her???
I asked him if he was sure he didn't get them from a yard sale or something, and he said no, he bought them legitimately at a sex shop. They were sooooooooo not anything I would even remotely be interested in using, that I said "no". He got really angry, said he had spent a lot of money on them. I told him that if he didn't want his money to go to waste, then stick them up himself and turn them on!
Never saw him again....thank God! | |

Happened to me. Was a wee bit creepy if I thought too hard about it but but the sex was great so meh...
I think if the two of you had not used toys before or even discussed using toys then going out and buying them with out you is a bit strange. | |

the strangest gift i ever got from a man was a teddy bear the size of a 10 year old child. why strange? i was 20 years old and that's just plain weird. i had given no indication that i would want such an item, and it was promptly sold to a CHILD in a yard sale later that year. | |

Common sense dictates – on the grounds of common sense - you had beaten your mother. However, I hope this scenario is highly uncommon and for good reasons. What makes me more stunned – is the fact that – it happened so many years ago (checked your current age). I am shocked!!
I think your gift beats the OP’s used toys by a huge margin. That one dealt with hygiene BUT your one with decency and common sense.

On the other hand, if you suspect that he was trying to get you to use USED sex toys and pass them off as new, I don't blame you. That is just disgusting, not to mention dangerous. Even if disinfected, I wouldn't trust them to be safe. | |
