| Does a good looking Ex increase a persons stock? Posted: 9/20/2006 8:31:42 AM | I have noticed a few profiles of late (both men & women) that mention that their exes are extremely "good looking" like this is in some way a reflection on them.
I am wondering if I am the only one who is scratching their head wondering how this could really matter. I don't think more or less of a person based on the appearance of their ex, after all it is an ex. Am I missing something here? Is this an important factor when looking for someone? Will the looks of someones ex make or break a decision to date them for you?

She told me that she told me this to explain why he cheated.
So I guess extremely good looking people cheat because they are extremely good looking.

Like they felt that information was so important that it had to be part of describing who they were.

Here's my thought... It only decreases the stock of the better looking one for having lowered their standards....

People don't put much thought into their profiles. I recommend you not looking to deeply into them or you will be baffled.
I love to have fun, love to laugh, tired of games, looking for a good man, good woman, tired of cheaters, looking for an honest man/woman. .....Tons of useless drivel.

Ya... but when they use the word extremely in their description... well... it's kind of like five exclamation points in a row, you know?

No, OP, I do not understand why someone would write that in their profile. Perhaps, they are blowing their trumpets in an indirect manner?

| Does a good looking Ex increase a persons stock? Posted: 9/20/2006 3:39:29 PM | Well, what happens when this good looking ex reaches the age of 70 or 80? Would the "stock" take a hit and go down in value?
Looks may open the door but they don't sustain the relationship. It's what is between the 2 ears, and smack in the middle of the chest (one's heart) is what will carry a person through life's journey. Looks and money, easy come and easy go!

BTW, my ex is extremely good-looking!!!!!
(note the 5 exclamation points...)

Does it mean that since the exes were good looking they weren't good enough for them so they are now single again, or does it mean they are now looking for better than the aforementioned "extremely good looking"?
I once had an ex when he didn't get his way and I ended the relationship scream at me "You know - I've been dumped by better!" Stroke your own ego much? What on earth did that comment accomplish? LOL

But, giving the benefit of the doubt, yes. I want to think he/she learned the experience (because is an EX) that 'good looking' is not everything in a relationship.
