| We all have strange thoughts sometimes Posted: 9/20/2006 11:38:05 AM | This happens all the time. Call it thinking impulsively as if to answer the "what if.." question. You're talking to a person or even a group of people and on the side of your mind you play out these scenarios which 99.99% of the time you would never do...like, what if I said this out of nowhere...something totally crazy...take your pick. Or, if you remember Jim Carrey making a joke out of it, by saying that he sometimes wondered, what would happen if he just punched the guy in the nose for no reason. Would his reaction be a mix of surprise, anger, WTF, or what..
I can't turn it off. Because I'm a Libra, apparently, we are prone to constant thinking, analysing, weighing the pros and cons. Stuff that keeps me up at night. The universe won't rest unless it keeps me from resting. I've accepted this fate. On the positive it means that I tend to make well balanced decisions. And also it means that if I say something negative, I am quick to say something positive. My way of being fair.
I can't turn it off. Like the line from Suspect Zero - "They never told us how to turn it off". So who knows how I would fare in Remote Viewing. It might just be an extension of my normal self..
If we have all these strange thoughts then what dictates which thoughts get translated into action. All these inner voices. Through what pane of glass should you view the world so that all the usual inhibitions go away. I once figured that the best color to view the world would be a rosy red. This can be accomplished via sunglasses. In fact, it's almost like assuming a different identity. Think about it this way, if someone told you that you had to work undercover as a gang member, could you then do all those ballsy things you always dreamed of doing while being "yourself". That said, is it enough to assume a different identity rather than try and get your normal self to do something it would normally not? Now you know why I stay up at night.. | |
