| Does anybody here do Salsa dancing ? Posted: 9/21/2006 3:59:20 PM | | I have often thought about taking it up as a means of keeping fit and meeting ladies, can anybody shed any light on whether it's fun or inexpensive and will I need to find a partner to start with me? | |

I've heard about this yoghourt thing re thrush, and it must have some effect......but I hate the taste, so I always request that she remove the Ski or Mullerlite before my tongue wrestles with her rosebud...
Punani, you are a bugger!!

| Does anybody here do Salsa dancing ? Posted: 9/21/2006 4:07:28 PM | Latin dancing is very fun. I had a couple lessons afew years ago and if I had more time I would have done it alot more. In the SF bay area here, there are lots of Latin dance clubs, and if you show up early, they'll give you free lessons. The basics are not hard, just how to hold your partner and one step up and one step back. The rest of it isn't that difficult either.
Expensive?
Depends how much for drinks.
Good excercise also...Women love it as well...You can do better with women by dancing with them than just drinking and staring and asking what their sign is... :-D

| Can natural yogurt really get rid of your thrush Posted: 9/21/2006 4:11:23 PM | poo nani.... I once went to the Salsa club on deansgate manchester (not far from the Curry Mile, you know it).. and we had a great time.. it's completely free, very sweat inducing, top girlies dance with you (if you have rhythm) and great music... not like belly dancing though...
I'm sure theres a club like it in Brum
and yes.. natural yoghurt gets rid of thrush - eventually after 2 weeks! Only thing is you have to slap loads of it on the nether regions and it makes you look like you have a nasty illness anyway!!

| Can natural yogurt really get rid of your thrush Posted: 9/21/2006 5:43:55 PM | I have taken salsa lessons and love the dance as well as bachata and merengue....there are the initial introductory classes which give you the basics but then like anything if you want to get good at it; it takes time practice money....but well worth it....I'm a beginner but love the dance and will continue this fall...in the mean time I have decided to take up pole dancing to keep trim, limber and fit along with my runnng I do at the gym.... | |

I've danced with Poles... but I like the salsa (Latina) dancing a little bit better.. maybe it's just me. I plan to learn Greek Folk and the Mambo also (someday).

| Does anybody here do Salsa dancing ? Posted: 8/21/2007 1:37:39 PM | I do salsa dancing. I've been doing it for the past 4 months and i love it. I go there by myself and have made some good friends there. Now theres a group of us who meet up every wednesday at salsa.
Its not that expensive for me to go. I pay a fiver and for that i get a 1 hour lesson and access to the club, which people just socialise and dance for an hour and a half.
And a bonus, theres alot of single women who go there. And if you dance well, you have a better chance of meeting someone. You can look at salsa in three ways. Keep fit class, social group or an alternative place to meet women. Personally i'd say go for it and forget what everyone else says.

| Does anybody here do Salsa dancing ? Posted: 8/21/2007 1:53:04 PM | definately go for it ! I used to do salsa and loved it. It`s a great way to socialise and am looking to get back into it asap. The music`s great, company`s great and it`s pretty a damn cheap night out.You won`t need a partner as women outnumber men by so many. My dad used to rib me about it but he and his workmates ended up in a salsa bar and he said that he couldn`t believe the female attention. He was gutted that he couldn`t dance lol He remained forever shy about it and i remained even more smug | |

| Does anybody here do Salsa dancing ? Posted: 8/21/2007 2:17:25 PM | I have done salsa its GREAT fun! and still do the salsa exercises.
if you look at your local community pages it'll tell you where classes are held ( mine were at the local community centre) prices aren't usually expensive ( i paid £3 a week for an 1 1/2 hour lessons) you don't need to take a partner as a lot of singles do go to dance classes.
also look up Ceroc, modern jazz, and if you fancy a giggle where you don't need a partner, american linedance is good fun.

have also done belly dancing....... still got my outfit too ;-)
good film to watch........ Shall We Dance. fabulous! the tango in it i actually danced for my gold medal! makes me go all goosebumps listening to the gotan project music in it.

Then went to a different class and think the teaching is 100% better with lots more people and yes lads us fellas outnumbered at least 7-1 so good on ego lol. Take it up and enjoy

| Does anybody here do Salsa dancing ? Posted: 9/4/2007 11:12:31 PM | I dance like a twat around my livingroom, does that count. It can look a bit like salsa, depending on how much I've drunk. | |

| Does anybody here do Salsa dancing ? Posted: 9/23/2007 2:52:37 PM | I started Salsa dancing a few years ago, and go when I can. Don't recommend doing it when you have a few jars though, can be awfully embarassing | |

You're really good i thought
Salsa is a great fun and brilliant excercise to keep fit, you dont need no frilly oufit just good rytham and a pair of dancing shoes! Once you know your basic moves.. you and your dancing shoes can conquer the world! lol

| Does anybody here do Salsa dancing ? Posted: 9/23/2007 3:50:50 PM | | I don't . I do Leroc. I think Ceroc is short of style in comparison. there is a change over and similarity in moves. | |

| Does anybody here do Salsa dancing ? Posted: 9/23/2007 4:09:39 PM | There is a Salsa dancing night at the pub at the end of my road. I think the same guy does them all over London. I've never been dancing at his lessons but I did it once at Glastonbury and it was great fun! Here is the link to his site if your interested...

| Does anybody here do Salsa dancing ? Posted: 9/24/2007 2:57:39 PM | I go to Salsa classes 2- 3 times a week (kinda addicted) I am preparing for the UK Salsa Congress in Bournemouth next month.
I dont have a partner cos you dont need one in most cases. It's great exercise, fun and can be very addictive. I go to different classes so i can get different teachers. I do Cuban and LA style Salsa.
