Posted: 9/26/2006 10:05:37 PM | | I was thinking...why is it that guys who seem to like me try to get me to borrow some of their belongings? This happened to me a couple of times. This one guy just loaned me a series of cds he had that he loves that probably cost him $40 or so because he thought id like them. Me personally, i dont loan hardly any of my things to someone i barely know especially if it means a lot to me. He said "here take these, i think you'll like them" and then when im done with them he tries to talk to me about them and makes conversation and we end up talking forever. Im wondering if other guys loan personal stuff to girls they barely know? I think its cool, but odd in the same aspect. Just curious, i know, i know, another stupid question... | |

I have so many sweatshirts, jackets, sweats, tshirts, boxers, and other guy things because of it... and the funniest part about it is when i try to give them back they are like "its okay ill get it later/next time"... but thats the only cool part of the aspect | |

When people aren't into each other they will try to reduce the number of attachments between them. When they like each other they increase those attachments. Everything in between dating and marriage is just increasing the number of attachments between two people. It starts with borrowed CDs and ends in joint bank accounts. | |

Posted: 9/27/2006 5:06:35 AM | | 2 reasons I can think of. A) as mentioned before, it gives them an excuse to talk to you again (and provides the topic), and B) it creates a common interest. Obviously he owns those CDs, so they're ones he likes. If you like them too, it shows you have something in common. Plus, it's a sign of trust for both people, which is the foundation of any relationship. | |

First we loan you the CD's, DVD's, movie camera etc. If we actually get the stuff back in a reasonable amount of time and in good condition we might actually be able to trust you with our hearts and in time, an expensive ring and kids?
Or if the relationship is moving really fast, loaning you our stuff means less to move into your place later!! | |
