| people watchin Posted: 9/30/2006 7:09:24 AM | I love sitting in the Mall and watching people ...... * the guy that has to hold his girlfriends purse while she goes to look at bras * the frustrated Mom taking life out on her kids * the pervy old man trying to look up young girls skirts on the escalator * the teenage boys and girls stalking each other from one end of the mall to the other - both pretending they don't see what the other is doing. * the teens who loudly swear to get a rise out of the seniors * the seniors who sit for hours with a cup of coffee in the food court talking to anyone who will give them eye contact * the angry sales clerks who really hate thier jobs and don't want to be there * the mall securtiy guard (wanna be cops) picking on the teens who just want to sit for a second on the bench
Oh I could go on - lots to see and take in - lifes little microcosm of crazies!!!

| people watchin Posted: 9/30/2006 10:29:56 AM | I'm with you on that one Chakraloard..........I like striking up conversations with people who are just sitting there , either looking lonely or amused.........imagine how much nicer the world would be if everyone said hi to someone they didn't know once in a while????
Leanne, i hear you too girl! all those things and more can be witnessed at any given mall on any given day......i was in a walmart once and the woman in front of me was playing games with her kids while in line and i tapped her sh oulder and said "do you have any idea how refreshing it is to see someone ENJOYING their kids while waiting in line instead of screaming at them or being so impatient they get snarly about it to everyone?" she smiled and thanked me, i said OH NO thank YOU!!!!!
sad when it's the exception to see someone having fun with their kids during stressful times (like waiting in a long lineup) *sigh*

| people watchin Posted: 9/30/2006 11:08:16 AM | Gah..
Stalkers! The lot of you!
jk, jk... Actually, as an avid people-watcher, I find you can learn alot about people without actually talking to them... Even when people you know walk past and don't know you're somewhere... Used to sit around the mall and see how people interact, kind of met one of my x's that way... She looked interesting so I kept an eye from afar, luckilly she didn't make me move so it wasn't stalking :P... Finally after watching for a bit, I asked her out :P. Worked out for a bit, and she was pretty much who/what I expected her to be...
