Well........ it's that time of week again - time to post the London coffee nite.

When: 7 pm.... altho I will be there about 6:30
Where: Winks Eatery..... now... where is Winks, you ask?

Winks Eatery is on the west side of Richmond.... at Albert St.
If you know where the Prince Albert Diner is, it is on the other side of Albert, and just off Richmond.

Don't park in the lot right beside Winks though, or you will get a ticket..... if you park on the street, at a meter, after 6 pm, you don't have to put money in, and you will not get a ticket.

Also, as most of the regulars at the coffee meet know, I have been trying to get someone else to coordinate this event, but have had no luck. Unfortunately, this leaves me no choice but to let folks know that I will no longer be doing the London coffee meets, as I have other personal commitments. I will try to come out for a coffee with my friends, on ocassion, as I truly hope someone else takes over this event........ it seems to have worked for several couples.

Well I will be there for a short time again - as I need to go to my latin dance class, by the way which are alot of fun.

For all of those that were looking for babyblueyes45 pants - the search is over we found them on Saturday. lol Thanks to those who did go looking for them.

Also our honorary member is going to be attending this evening. She is really serious about becoming a member. Just needs to get her profile put together.

See you all on Wednesday as this could be our last one.

As always...
I will most likely be there...
Since I'm on nights...
I can probably pick up the ball...
For next week as well...
And play the host again...
However...
Due to shift rotations...
Until I land a straight day job...
I can't help out when I'm on afternoons...
Anyway...
Looking forward to seeing you all there...

Gummle, the smile on my face was from you and the fishie sitting next to you. So you only get half the blame.

LOL@SWO...
I kinda figured that might be the case...
The cross thread posting threw me for a moment too... LOL
Anyway...
If memory serves me correctly...
Sadly, that Fishie you spoke of...
(And I'm assuming you weren't referring to LostInTheCity)...
Won't be able to attend this week...
So all will just have to rely on my lesser wit...
For smiles and chuckles...
Along with the standard abuse thrown my way, of course...

Hope to see some new faces this week...
To fill the gap made by those...
Who won't be coming...

Jim -- if you can find the Barakat Restaurant on Richmond at Albert, it's right behind it.

Not sure if I'll be there or not this week -- guess it will be a surprise again!

just a reminder to people, if you're going to use their lot, make sure you pay and put your ticket in the window. When you're paying, pay attention to the screen on the machine while your money is going in, it tells you exactly what time you have to get out of there for the amount you're putting in so you'll know when to leave and you won't get a ticket. If you decide to stay longer, you'd better be gettingout there and getting a new display ticket for your window!!! If you don't want to do this, you'd better scout the street for a spot or don't complain about them giving you a $15 parking ticket.

BTW, for those of you who think the police are the ones who give the tickets --- nope, it's the city hall parking enforcement guys/gals, police haven't given out parking tickets in years.

Gee Sharinda? How very right you are!
The police don't give out parking tickets. I know this cuz they are the ones that have given me my last 3 impaired charges!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone think we could come up with another place to meet on Wednesday nights that is still central for all but this parking nonsense isn't an issue?

Hmmmm...
Offer up suggestions SWO...
Many places have been looked at...
The part that makes it difficult...
Is in keeping it central...
Central general equates to having to pay to park...
Catch 22...

an Alibi
for you and I
no need to make up a story
we'll be in our glory
drinking beer and wine
with KitKat and Devine
but what about java?
does that place have a
coffee maker for us?
hey, it's close to the bus
okay, I'm tired
and night shift wired
but realized this thread
had no poetry said
and couldn't stand by
while the tradition died
so here is my rhyme
now it's bed time!!

wow, that's pretty lame

So now it's tadition...
To post here in rhyme...
To not, is sedition...
And will cost you in time...

Can this really be true?
I was never told...
Until now, and by you...
So may I be so bold...

As to table a motion...
That to rhyme be by choice...
Whenever one has the notion?
Do I have a seconder's voice?

For when wired from nights...
With bad coffee and hard work...
To exercise my rights...
Would be a hell of a perk...

And for some of us here...
Sharinda, it's no use...
For we don't have a beer...
And a copy of Doc Suess...

So it's really not fair...
To assume we'll all rhyme...
With the same flare...
As you every time...

But because you're so sweet...
I've gone along with you...
And posted this treat...
And without further ado...

Considering the time...
And given my state of confusion...
I'll wrap up this rhyme...
And reach it's conclusion...

I'll see all tonight...
Same time and same place...
And we'll share our delight...
Of any new face...

To those that can't come...
We'll certainly miss you...
And as you sit at home...
We'll raise a toast to you...

LMAO

thanks guys I needed a chuckle this morning, no sleep last night and kidlet all day!! Don't think I'll be there tonight unless by some miracle a babysitting angel comes by and lets me get some sleep. I'll be way too tired for driving safely to London.
