| | If you could change one thingPage 1 of 2 (1, 2) | If you could change one thing about your life at this point, what would it be and why?
For me, I would have gotten divorced 10 years before I did and the reason is that 10 years before the divorce, the marriage had ended.

| If you could change one thing Posted: 10/4/2006 4:54:19 PM | | Change it...Nope, mistakes are part of making decisions in this old life sometimes you call em right and other times you dont.Make the decision and dont try to later change something you dont have the power to change.Learn from it and go full steam ahead. | |

| If you could change one thing Posted: 10/4/2006 5:51:18 PM | Only one thing? too hard to choose
I would have stayed in school. I would have never started smoking. I would have listened better to my mother. I would have held on tighter to my dreams. I would have treated my children better. I would have treated my ex better. I would have demanded that I be treated better....
Since we can't change the past, as a previous poster said, we learn from our mistakes. And do better on the return trip. lol

| If you could change one thing Posted: 10/4/2006 7:32:23 PM | | If i could change anything about my life, it would be that i would not have been a only child , believe me when i say this ,those of you that have brothers and sisters , really dont have a clue how lucky you all really are , so if you do , and have not talked in a while do the right thing ,and go now and give them a call ,i know i wished i could | |

| If you could change one thing Posted: 10/4/2006 7:37:16 PM | If I could change, one thing? My first reaction would be, that I would have figured out a way to teach the masses how to be honest with one another.
I am sooooooo sick and tired of peoples need to lie, whats the friggin point. Isn't it easier to tell the truth? That would be my change, to over come all the bull that is shelled out daily.

| If you could change one thing Posted: 10/4/2006 7:39:35 PM | I agree that we can't change and we learn from our mistakes. I guess what I am saying, knowing what we do now, if we had known before, would we have changed things.
I know there are a lot of things in my life I would have done differently if I knew then what I do now. Hindsight is everything :)

| If you could change one thing Posted: 10/4/2006 7:55:28 PM | In reality I would have to agree with Packleader, life is learning, good and bad. I don't regret one thing in my life, because of the simple fact there is no book or rules to follow, written ones that is. Sure there is written laws, but nothing stating how I was suppose react to this or that. Should I choose right or wrong at that certain point in my life.
It's like this HUGE crap shoot, roll 7's move forward, roll, smake eyes, is it? You go back a step or two, but as long as one keeps rollin, 7's are bound to back around.
I did choose to better my way of thinking some yrs ago, so I guess that might answer the question.

| If you could change one thing Posted: 10/4/2006 9:13:41 PM | i wouldn't change a thing. MY life has Made me who i am today, with all it's mistakes, learning expereinces, pit falls and all. and i'm more confident today then i have even been in my whole Life All because of what i've had to endure. So NOPE, Not a thing at all. | |

| If you could change one thing Posted: 10/5/2006 7:21:27 AM | There is a definite difference between changing one thing "at this point" which was your post, and changing one thing from your entire life.
Which is it you are interested in?
At this point, I wouldn't change anything about ME in my life. I would like to change to a climate that isn't what I have now. (I hate cold and snow.)
But as far as my life and my day to day, happy as a clam.

| If you could change one thing Posted: 10/5/2006 7:31:53 AM | | I would have made a determined effort to be "braver" at pivotal times; I have learned in recent years that it takes only a little more energy, only a few deeper breaths, and since not everyone is paying attention at the same time..so you may just succeed in accomplishing a greater thing than you anticipated. | |

| If you could change one thing Posted: 10/5/2006 7:34:51 AM | | i would change where I live. I want to be a vagabond and travel from place to place. I hate cold weather. I have a son living in New Zealand and I'd like to live there for a year or so. well, maybe when I retire I can do that. | |

| If you could change one thing Posted: 10/5/2006 8:51:25 AM | Hmmm....if I could change one thing at this point, I would choose to be debt free...lol. Other than that, I'm pretty well content. I have a decent home, a good job, incredibly healthy, an awesome dog and good friends....so life is pretty darned good !
Let's don't talk about the past because there's wayyyyy too much that I'd like to change. If hindsight was foresight, we'd all have 20/20.

| If you could change one thing Posted: 10/5/2006 9:22:02 AM | Well said madamegeek. Other than being more proactive, the only thing I wish I had done is put myself first more often rather than the husband, kids, relatives, work, friends, etc. but I did get the rewards for being the caring person I am, so it's not a biggie. | If you could change one thing Posted: 10/5/2006 9:43:28 AM | | I've always wanted to be 4'10" tall cause then it won't be so far to fall if I get knocked over. | |
|
| If you could change one thing Posted: 10/5/2006 9:44:30 AM | I would have had my last husband whacked before my horrible lapse of judgment and said "I do"..... Other than that, I have very few serious regrets or anything I'd change. | |

| If you could change one thing Posted: 10/5/2006 12:07:59 PM | I would like for me and my family to be in Ohio. I know it's cold, but PEOPLE are more important than CLIMATE. I love CA climate, but there is much to be desired, otherwise. Not that there is anything wrong with CA people, but everyone is so transient...watching your friends move all the time gets really old....

| If you could change one thing Posted: 10/5/2006 12:49:11 PM | | I would have more really close friends to go to dinner with (10 total would be nice) one for each day of the week and 3 in the bullpen just in case of illness....Right now I have 3.... | |
|
| If you could change one thing Posted: 10/5/2006 3:02:43 PM | I would have brought a bunch of friends and near friends on vacation with me. That's to this point this day. In my life?????? Just general self improvement and becoming what any altruistic person is...but not knowing if there really are any in this world!

| If you could change one thing Posted: 10/5/2006 5:18:43 PM | I would have accepted the junior position that was offered to me with a multinational corporation at their Canadian Head Office...with a secretarial and printing staff on board...instead of going back to school as an adult to graduate in Journalism.
Doing so would have changed the course of my life but I wimped out and refused the job offer.
