I would like to know if anyone has truly reflected on what they feel thankful for in general or specific.....Me....I am thankful for good friends and family....the ones who just know when you need a call to either cheer or share joy.....how about you? | |

i am thankful for the love of my children on how i love them as they love me 
i am thankful for my family who cant be with me this year but with each other in spirit 
i am thankful for have a roof over my head
i am mostly thankful for my mother for making me the man i am today

I myself am....
Thankful for my wonderful children (even when they are monsters).... for the love they share with family, friends and of course me I love your three with all my heart
I am thankful for my wondeful mother, who made me who am I today, I just wish she was still here so that I could say "thankyou" to her... (miss you mom)
I am thankful for all my wonderful friends I have met here on POF.... I don't know what I would do without you... (oh yah...still be the shy and quiet one in my shell) 
And I am thankful for sunny days

I am thankful for the great friends I have.
I am thankful for the goodness I see in my children everyday (my 9 y/o daughter made me so proud today when she got her hair cut and decided to donate her hair to the cancer society so that another little girl may have hair).
I am thankful to live in a great neighborhood, good neighbors and safe.
I am thankful for all the talents God has given me.
I am thankful that I have a close knit family who is always there when one is in need or struggling.
There are many things to be thankful for, I try to recognize them everyday; not just on Thanksgiving Day. | |

Posted: 10/7/2006 4:13:15 PM | My answer is complicated and could go on for several pages. In the past year? I'm thankful for the period from October to March where we could clean up tons of loose ends and prepare. I'm thankful that she had the emotional strength to help me through it rather than needing me to be the strong one (other than brief periods in September and November of 03). I'm REALLY thankful for friends that took the time to come by from Van and Kelowna and Toronto during that period.
In the half year since, I'm thankful for a job boom that gives me enough money to live comfortably even with my career in a shambles. For the luck that keeps my retirement savings growing despite stupid risk levels.
I'm thankful for the existence of PoF. I make a lousy single, and PoF has been great at keeping me out of my cave and actually social where there's a chance to change it. | |

I'm thankful we were born and live in the best country ever!
I'm thankful my youngest hasn't hit me too hard with the teen behaviour yet. (fingers crossed)
I'm thankful that my oldest has gotten his rebellious nature out of his system while he's still a minor and that he's finally coming around. I seem to have a FEW nerves left, and most of my mind, but I'm done even trying to count the gray hairs!
I'm thankful my landlady only charges fair rent!!! She could charge more but isn't for some reason.
I'm thankful for Plenty of Fish and all the excellent friends I've been making through this site... y'all ROCK!!!

Thankful for my friends, and being able to work in a career that I throughly enjoy!

i started a thank here but... there are many other things to be thankful for...
my son, my parents (without whom i wouldnt survive), my other family members (they may suck sometimes, but i still love them), my best friend (for always being there for me when i need her), my POF friends (for making me feel welcome in a big new place that I have NEVER been before), and for the air I breath, the clothes on my back, the roof over my head, and the money thats in the bank.... Finally for all my exes... you made me want a better man... if anybody know where one is... can you send him MY way please?

Posted: 10/7/2007 1:09:25 AM | Well unfortuntaely this is the first holiday I'm spending without my mother, and having no other family here in Calgary, I am celebrating alone. No turkey for this gal but I am still thankful for a few things.
1. A job that I love getting up and going to each morning
2. Lazy Sunday mornings in bed
3. The ability to laugh at myself
4. Great friends
5. Good health
6. Good memories
