He could do absolutely everything... Track back and cover, score from the spot, score from volleys, score from a deadball, create something out of nothing, control the midfield, passes were always spot on and threaded through defenders.
He also played at the Height of physical fitness in the History of Football with the most talent in each league in their respective histories.
Zizou was the greatest to ever play. | |

Posted: 10/21/2006 6:07:07 PM | | well i almost agree..only players like best eusebio pele set standards of skill and presicion no one had ever seen before thats what made them great..zz is absolutely awesome and there will be no one to touch him for many years to come..but he improved the standards of skill that allready existed in the game in his time..its only an opinion and right now yes he is the god of football | |

Posted: 10/22/2006 12:59:48 AM | Zidane is an absolute master. When he's on form he makes football into visual poetry, he juggles the ball, and passes opponents like they aren't there. A pleasure to watch.
I also remember, particularly, Maradonna being another natural but go for Zizou just because I see so much more of his skills on TV [sign of the times, eh?] | |

Even though Pele was great, I should also put in a word for Ronaldhino. Watching him in the European championship in May, then in the World Cup, I was impressed with how he was able to control the pace of the game, much as Gretzky was able to do in hockey. | |

Posted: 10/24/2006 5:31:50 PM | Ronaldinho didn't even show his full potential in the World Cup(and by European Championship... I hope you are meaning the European Cup Competition or Champions League in other words).
I think Ronaldinho is great but even when he is fully on his game... He doesn't control the game as much as Zizou did. | |

although my favourite player being a kid was the german Klinnsman (former manager of US National Football Team) and the great mexican forward Hugo Sanchez (who played for Real Madrid many years ago and once he got "old" he joined an american team called Dallas Burn to make some money) | |

At the World Cups, Pele was a legend, but career wise Pele only plied his trade in S America I believe, whereas Maradona singlehandedly turned round Napoli in one of the toughest leagues in the world, winning serie A and the Uefa Cup - pretty special, even though it pains me! | |

yes Zidane played football and i would add that he has been the best.you will not find any other footballer having his skills.his touch was pure magic.did you watch his goal at Hampden Park Stadium (Scotland) in 2002 during the final of the European Cup??? BEAUTIFUL AND SIMPLY PERFECT!
by the way i know that in North America,football is called "soccer" as the word comes from the english football authority FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION,you know,football is played with a round ball and using the feet | |
