Posted: 10/17/2006 8:18:34 PM | Intelligence versus Intelligibility.....have you ever wondered about the import/impact of your words, not necesssarily about what you mean or the intent of what you say.........but what it means to someone else ?
I am a total bullshitter who writes bollocks and bullshit just to amuse myself but am also always pleasantly surprised when someone actually understands and gets where I am coming from...now I realise it may seem like a mean trick to play on people but when someone realises that they are not so infallible and appreciates that no actual offence was meant with whatever numbskull nonsense I come out with I can't help feeling extaordinarily enamoured with that individual.
The people I think are excellent are already contacts of mine, if they aren't already it's only a matter of time

It just means you are probably an insipid, vapid, non entity with no strength of character... I have had people send both good and bad emails in response to summink ~I have said on here and that's fine, that's their prerogative, but it doesn't mean I will change to accomodate their wishes.. Having said that, I don't go out to purposefully upset or flame, and I did take on board a comment made to me regarding that particular 'flaw'.. So I must have some sort of social conscience.. But at the end of the day I have an off switch sitting in front of me and all you luvverley people disappear and have no bearing on my daily life unless I want you too, so why should it matter to me what you think?? | |

I don't have any tracks to cover, the love will come by its self.
If you try to be loved by everyone, you will end up being liked by everyone but loved by no one.
No doubt I have made a few enemies on here but have made a few lovely friends on here too, so it was worth it. | |

As for making everyone love me/like me,people either do or they don't after all this is just a screen and typed words.
When I sign off the people that do love/like me and I them are still around me and they are the only ones that matter!!  | |

Obviously I hope that my posts can strike a chord with someone out there in this cyber world, but it doesn't keep me awake at night wondering about it.
I am, however, concerned about the posts I make in which I have requested a poster to explain themselves, especially if the post in question contained a personal attack against me. Sadly, these people appear to be ill-equipped to conduct matters in a civilised manner, which leads them to make these attacks in the first place.
I do think it's important for me to be able to explain my thoughts, and it is something I am more than willing to do.
As for wanting people to like me for my posts, I am indifferent, but if they choose to like or dislike me, then that's a matter for them, not me. | |

But everyone that actually takes the time to get to know me loves me and thats all that matters is the ppl who actually take the time to get to know me!  | |

That would take some serious effort and at the end of the day where would it have got you? There will always be people around that want to trip you up for no reason other than thats the way they are. Thats life and to devote time and effort to it is a waste of your own time..

Nothing happens without a salesman/woman. Everyone's backroom job is supported by some salesperson doing their bit (unless you work in the public sector, and then it's the taxpayer). Think about it. | |
