Chivalrious knights come from noble blood, and in this day and age noble blood is sparse. Not boasting or anything but I consider myself to be chivalrous and romantic.
nice, a pity for me tho, as youre 10 yrs too young for me, but good luck to your next match! chivalrous and romantic, hm.. nothings better!

We guy's are chivalrous, but only a little impatient. That's why we have Intimate Encounters profiles - to cut through the red tape.

The honourable knight - isn't he supposed to be almost holy? - Didn't chilvarly come from that ideal? I think it has something to do with those knights living by a code - and part of that code dictates that they remain virgins, treat women with the upmost respect for their chastity etc...
Noone has yet given me a modern take on it, but I think this is where it sortaof comes from.

Posted: 10/21/2006 6:10:54 PM | msgs 11 & 15 rather philosophical but true, i m sad to find many men these days (seems like a global trend) not only have no idea what chivalry is, they even expect women to treat them like ladies, and when they re not getting it, they call women names saying theyre game playing, i dont have to go far for examples, one older man on this site complained on a thread that he messaged one other younger woman but got no reply, then he blackmailed the woman and says she looks good but in a bad way of a crack addict, and shes prostitute blah blah, phew... even, even if she were, how good is this man when even prostitutes want to run away from him?
tho, now i want to do a reality check, if anyone have time to read my profile/posts, whether i fall in the feminists category as i certainly have no intention of turning into one.

We deserve it! | |

| the most chivalrous men in the world.... where are they? Posted: 10/21/2006 6:29:27 PM | Wasn't chivalry built around the theme of chastity? no, chivalry started alot earlier in the time of troubadour, and chastity much later and alot more recent victorian.
The honourable knight - isn't he supposed to be almost holy? no.
- Didn't chilvarly come from that ideal? what ideal? of being holy? no.
I think it has something to do with those knights living by a code - and part of that code dictates that they remain virgins, treat women with the upmost respect for their chastity etc... no, it turned out to be not what you thought, as mentioned above, chivalry is not related to chastity, one is much older than the other, one has a french origin the other english. although! theres codes in the victorian age to tell you what are considered as proper manners.
Noone has yet given me a modern take on it, but I think this is where it sortaof comes from. modern take?
