I am just curious if there are people out there that find downloading to be a little addictive (or alot). Who download WAY more then they need. Who find their collections exploding to massive proportions.

Nope. Forums are addictive. Fortunately, most threads aren't very rivetting. They still get in the way of accomplishing much :P

In my humble experience, guys tend to love getting downloaded and it can become an addiction.

Well ^^Batgirl^^ seems to know what she's talking about

Of all the addictions the forums are the worst for me as well... I have gone on downloading trips before... the material sometimes helped me crave more downloading

I only download songs that I own on other formats, or to sample them. Sotware, movies or "intellectual" properties, I don't. Bought a couple cd's as of late, from listening to the the songs I like, gave them to the kids, the one or two good songs don't justify the space they take up here...

Is it addictive I would say so, I average about 120-185 GB a month. I am constantly burning off new seasons of TV shows, junk files, anything and everything.. Good ol Telus is pissed but they wont complain because I bought their best deal.

It depends on what the person is downloading.

Downloading as I type...

My addiction isn't so much to the downloading itself...I'm addicted to music. I live music, I breathe music, I download music, and then I go buy music. If it's worthy to download, it's worthy to buy...remember that, people!

Come on... I understand they're forum rules and won't brake them if I can help but stop
the "do it legal" thing pllllllllllease...

When me and my friends where doing it the laws where ambiguous at the time, I think.

The porn sites I go on are legal...

I haven't started with music yet on this pc... I first need more space... might pay for
the rogers deal...

Or I might just rob a bank and buy myself a music shop.

It can be...but reality sets in when you listen as the sound quality just isn't there. The better your speakers...the worse it sounds. Vinyl all the way!

Remember when CD's came out? They were "indestructable" and "fabulous"...now we find out that they only have a 15-20 year shelf life...well HELL...most of my favorite music is from 15 years go...so is it touch and go with what I bought way back when? I really hope not...I have a lot of "merch table" cd's from "before they were signed" yadda yadda...

Anyway...vindicator...*snicker*...I havent had a record player since I was 5...haven't they all been recycled?

Talking about downloading...i need to download Prison break episode for tonite, it's a new show tonite. I Got my cable hooked up to my PC and normally would just download the show straight to my PC to look at it later. My hard drive act has a PVR =)

Who needs TIVO when your PC can do it as good!

The only thing.....forgot to set it up today so guess it's Torrent for me tonite eh!

People tend to collect things that are for free even thow they will never use them or need them. How many of us have a house full of unneed and the only reason we bought them was because they were on sale. And when ur old and read to sell the house they will still be unused and unopenned.
