Posted: 10/22/2006 11:20:36 AM | Does anyone know why the profiles list does not include all the people who put you on their favorites list? When I go to see who added me to their list, the count is nowhere near the number listed on my profile page. I see the number on my profile page go up and down but the number of profiles shown are no where near the total shown.  | |

100 people maximum show up... so if you have 102 people, 2 of those people will not show up on your screen.

So just to clairify....
Favourites list shows the last 100 people who've added you to their favourites list in chronological order according to when they last logged in. The more recent the log in, the higher on the list. But it only shows 100 people maximum. | |

yes. They can check their favorite's list and see who's on it.
If you've deleted yourself from them, they'll notice that you're not on it.
unless they happen to just add everyone to their fav's, then they likely wouldn't even notice. | |

really happens? it simply means that this person is on over 500 favourite lists , and only the first 100 will be shown to them .... | |

no, there are no fairies, elves or ghosts, that go about arbitrarily putting people on fav' lists. :)
Either they put you on theirs, or you put them on yours. No magic - all cause and effect. | |

Perhaps you should take a more direct approach?
It's interesting that you feel the conversational responsibility is theirs once you add them to a list.
I'm actually not a fan of the favorites list at all, there are too many inferences drawn from it , whether the number is high or low. I'd prefer a private list we could keep to quickly acess those we email most frequently that isn't publicised.

Not fall in love per se, and I do contact people and therin lies the problem. I contact people who add me, why not do the same? Ludocrouse because I have to initiate everything just because I'm a man. Adding them to my favorites is my way of saying "your on my radar for now and am at least somewhat interested for now, wouldnt do no harm to send an e-mail saying at least "hi I loved your profile hotty" | |

The point is; the feature serves many purposes, your use of it is but one.
