| I want to add smilies to my headline, but it won't let me do it! Posted: 10/26/2006 3:56:53 AM | HI, i'm trying to add smilies to my headline and also to my profile, but it won't let me do it. Please help!!
I can only add them to the end of the description bit, but i can't add them to my headline or the part about the first date. Also, on this forum there are other symbols you can use. Is it possible to save these symbols and use them on my profile?

This does not work for forum topic titles.

| I want to add smilies to my headline. Posted: 10/29/2006 5:35:12 AM | HTML used to be working for email messages, but as of a few days ago, seems to be disabled.
Those tags for the emoticons do not work in profile either and are far too long to be used in a profile headline.
Inserting the name of the emoticon the way that clicking on them does seems to be the only way to put them in an email or profile. HTML is enabled here in the forums though.

| I want to add smilies to my headline, but it won't let me do it! Posted: 11/8/2007 5:29:04 PM | HTML Tags have now been disabled for both Forum & Profile Posting.
Use UBB Code for Letters, as explained in the UBB Code Tutorial
What is between Colons is converted to Smilies available for use on this Site. Hence the Numbers beside the Smilies in the Link above.
For Instance, if you type --> or :12: it will be converted to --->
Make sure there are 2 Spaces on both ends of the Colons , so as not to mesh in with other Characters outside the Code before you post your Forum or E-Mail Message or Profile Update. Once you have posted it, it will only show a 1 Space Gap.
A maximum of 40 Characters incl. Spaces for your Profile Headline. No single Word or Line can contain more than 21 continuous Characters without Spaces. Do not use Words that could be censored by the Site's Spam, Scam or Profanities Filters.
| In your Edit Profile, the Admin has supplied a few Smilies to the right of the Page for Profile Use. Give 'em a Try in the Practice Thread |

In the past, when I tried to enter a headline that was too long, it would just stop me from typing. Has something changed with that?
The term I was using was not a banned term - I tested that out. I really think it has to do with the quotes, but I am wanting to confirm that lol.

No Problems with ---> Hi, my name is "Sue" either.
Post exactly what Line you have been trying to enter into the Profile Headline Field.
