So Divine (a sonnet)
If the maiden day of spring Could sing its tender song For you its symphony would bring A masterpiece yearlong And if the setting sun mislaid Its reason to return Your radiance would pervade And the darkness you'd adorn Or if angels were to pray, To you they would implore And inquire of your splendid way Then..they'd learn to soar For you my world revolves my sweet And just your thought makes me complete

| love and heartache poetry Posted: 10/26/2006 8:54:53 PM | My Lady Fair
My lady fair tonight not there Yet still my heart she holds In her place an empty space So desolate and cold
In my dreams her beauty gleams Like a rainbow through my mind But when I wake my heart will ache For her I cannot find
My heart grows fonder each time I ponder The first time that we kissed And of our last night when I held her tight With not one feeling missed
Though of her beauty I'm blinded I'm also reminded Of her magical allure Her perfect form and touch so warm Her everything so pure
Perhaps tomorrow will end my sorrow And she'll be by my side Until then I'll dream again For there she cannot hide

| love and heartache poetry Posted: 10/26/2006 8:56:28 PM | Love Curtailed
A day of sadness to behold About a love which can't unfold The one of which dreams are made Again - a love that love forbade
Though our love has been curtailed And my loss has been unveiled For you my heart will always beat For love like this will not deplete
Still, within my dreams you stride For there your love I'm not denied And you're by my side until I wake My favorite view...I still can't shake
Goodbye my love..I wish you well I love you like no poem can tell

| ~Thy Maiden~ Posted: 10/27/2006 6:07:34 AM | ~Thy Maiden~
Once there was a maiden With skin so white and fair Her hair was long and flowing The sunlight, it danced there Her eyes they held such passion Her lips a ruby red Then one day it happened The knight found her in her bed Her eyes, he thought to himself Didn't look quite right He just could not wake her He had tried with all his might All at once he noticed 'Round her a pool of red He cried out to God "Please, don't let her be dead" As he leaned over His beloved maiden fair It was then he noticed The dagger lying there He fell to his knees And began to cry "Oh God, please don't take her, I have loved her all my life" The plea went unanswered For God had took her home Her remains they are buried On the hill top all alone If you should see a hill top That bears a cross of stone It is thy maiden's resting place She lived as she died.... Alone........

| ~Thy Maiden~ Posted: 10/27/2006 6:55:57 AM | Death Of An Angel
Empty days as angels sing their message to impart, A dying love forever more to cease a fragile heart. A word upon a simple prayer for hope to soon return, Upon the day, the angel way, as lover's hearts so yearn.
A sacred bond for two to hold, so long does it evade And when it seems this bond is found, again two hearts betrayed. Nightly battles fought and lost, soldiers bloodied in a thought; Heaven’s glare upon the night; insidiously fraught.
Unto the night a wish is sent for love to soon obey, An angel chancing by is fleetingly pulled astray. She holds this wish and tries in vain to grant this endless plea Afraid she stands and realizes, it is an impossibility...
Bewildered as she glared upon this wish she could not grant Uncertain of what was at hand, she begins to descant, This wish of love was not sincere as seen in the angel’s eyes For such a wish was merely made to settle helpless cries.
Too much for her to bear was this contradicting wish Now outside of heaven’s gate she feels this heart's anguish. The pain bestowed by this simple dream was all that she could stand Soon the angel’s heart was torn; and her wings would soon disband.
She fell from heaven for this wish made on this fateful day Confused how one could want to love, if it’s so quickly thrown away “Be careful what you wish for” she cried, her last amen, Then quietly she faded by, as this angel died again.

| Denying Heart Posted: 10/27/2006 7:36:13 AM | Denying Heart
The intention of a heart So denying The addiction of a kiss Always calling
A tulip fragile love Always wilting Feeding on a broken soul Ever daunting
A gentle touch enchants So transforming So much pain to heal… Needs reforming
Empty pages - with no feeling Tauntingly stare Though for ages written; Nothing's there
Staring charcoal eyes Forever burning Scorching words so burn Pain returning

| Cut Her Loose Posted: 10/27/2006 7:39:21 AM | Damn......cut her loose She turned the last twist on the noose She took another man, so what's the use? Stop hurtin'..and cut her loose
One never knows How sour love can go You look back and try to show That it wasn't just a dream
I don't know what stories you'll tell Your lies fall together so well And it's so hard to tell Was it blind lust and a wishin' well Or a lost trust in a woman I knew well?
So, damn, cut her loose She turned the last twist on the noose She took another man, so what's the use? Stop hurtin'..and cut her loose

| Incidental Love Posted: 10/27/2006 7:50:01 AM | Incidental Love
Entire reasons misunderstood, I'd like to place them all away This blooming garden I trusted in With flowers gone astray
A cluttered head, a belted thought A restless night of love for naught
So many reasons misplaced I wish I could understand If merely to know why Our hearts would soon disband
Love me not if but for a day Love me not if your love will fray
Truth be told within your eye This blemished love of you and I If the morrow holds its saddened sigh We’ll kiss away this loving lie…

| Love's Garden of Pain Posted: 10/27/2006 8:40:22 AM | Love's Garden of Pain
In the garden where I'm standing The flowers do not bloom The tears called rain, it flows Things die all too soon The fragrant blooms that blossomed Have gone to another place There's nothing left but me Alone in this cold space Why is it that I must Remain here all alone With no one which to share No place to call my own I seek only happiness A place where I can shine But my heart it is dying Like Ivy on the vine Why is it I must journey Is this how it has to be Why is it he can't see The love inside of me How did I become second In a race I didn't know exist What is the meaning of it Is it something I completely missed I wish only to share with him What I have inside Yet, I cannot It's something I must hide It's something I must keep Here inside my self Locked away in hiding Placed upon a shelf For to express it open Would only cause him pain I'll just keep it hidden Where only I feel the pain Echoez- 2002

| Love's Garden of Pain Posted: 10/27/2006 10:18:37 AM | Today In Your Absence
Despite your absence, I will pen my poems today.
Coming down from the rush Of you, I will, as best I can, Make a collage of my words.
Today, my poems may not wear Their Sunday dress, however, as your Presence yet permeates my room, And, like me, my poems Address their nakedness.
Today, I will not open Windows, for fear that what Remains of you will vanish.
Today, alone with the ghost Of you, I will stay put, and, Like the miser, hoarding Of his coin, I will Double-lock My door.

Magnificent, radiant, bubbly, invigorating, expressive to a fault, her beauty shines, her exquisite hands sculpting the air before her, shaping it, honing it, rendering it as tangible, and enduring, as her oh so sensuous and lingering smile!

| Absent Muse Posted: 10/27/2006 8:39:24 PM | Absent Muse
A time beheld beside the sun As your beauty shadows long, Raining down upon everyone As you sing your enticing song.
Hand in hand we walked this line Concealed, for none to see Now your music is benign And we shall never be.
To this song we danced alone; A secret we'd always keep We relished in its defying tone Now for but a dance we weep
For now my absent muse I hold In a lone memory cajoled

| Silver Shadow Posted: 10/28/2006 10:01:28 AM | Silver Shadow
I first saw her by the shore, her prism eyes Gleaming ‘cross the rainbowed skies Her blinding smile teasing the sun; And her shadow, shining like a lustrous Gem of silvery perfection
Her pervading heartbeat directing mine Sure that soon they would align, Her, a candle to salvage my withering flame; And mend a hole that never Wanted to carry love anew
And the breeze brought by her gentle stride Is the air of love on which I’ve relied, Her passion emanating through the wind; And purity reflecting in her mirrored Silhouette cast upon the ground
Strangers for a day, though I felt her hold And hoped that this would soon be told A pair of hearts melding in her hands; With visions of two souls becoming one, Until erupting in a flame of manic passion
And here we are… | |

| Fairytale Dream Posted: 10/29/2006 3:16:01 PM | Fairytale Dream
Upon a time, though hardly once (on a day spent in pure silence) I had a vision of love so grand a love to hold within my hand
This fairytale dream kept in my quill written upon this page to instill a chance for a dream to once come true a chance for a dream as pure as you
A noble guest granted from Eden, with a sparkling love – eternally golden like the hue of a thousand stars; and Eden now was forever ours
I took you on a treasured walk and used my wand to unlock the secret gate on this virgin trail; all its secrets, ours to unveil
And all these secrets were of love the kind fairytales are written of we learned these secrets and kept them well without a soul to ever tell
If my magic wand was true I’d conjure heaven down to you in this fairy tale we’d live and a happy ending to you I’d give
When to Eden you return and I’m alone and my heart will burn my wand will sparkle in your name and Eden shall never be the same

| Parched Posted: 10/31/2006 8:47:34 AM | Parched
This tender love believed to be Of once upon a time, Has been simply parched away Just like my scarring heart
If in the morning I can see A reason for this rhyme, Perhaps aside my heart I’ll lay And my pain will soon depart
Away your love has taken me As if it were a crime; Soon I’ll see a softer day With love not torn apart

| Ten Posted: 10/31/2006 8:49:17 AM | Ten
One day of love withheld again, Once more to guide my lonely pen
Two days until a broken heart Two ways to leave, yet can’t depart
Three hour tears for love withheld Three simple thoughts; all else is quelled
Four hours ripping poems apart Four written lines; where sadness starts
Five seconds ‘til I think of you Five more ‘til I realize we’re through
Six times again to love I’ve tried Six million more, yet still denied
Seven days 'til I realize it’s true Seven ways of losing you
Eight times again a loving sigh Eight times I’ve sought this loving lie
Nine nights without a single thought Nine dreams about this love for naught
Ten pairs of lines of love amiss Ten years will pass, still I’ll write of this

| love and heartache poetry Posted: 11/26/2006 6:36:51 AM | The flame begins from a simple spark Seen within your eye. Soon, it grows to engulf my frigid heart.
Molten Tears
This candle warms my soul and Lights the way into yours; Finally, I’m warm, though still too cold to feel.
While it flickers, it burns your memory Into my mind and soul. This withered flame is the only hope I have.
The dripping wax reminds me of tears, For it is undoubtedly a symbol That, like the candle, our love will surely fade.
This crying candle taunts me, Screaming volumes of what I shall never have, Never hold, never be.
So when the candle is extinguished, And its tears have ceased, My tears will have just begun…
And I shall lay all of my memories and hopes to rest, yet again.

| Whispering Dreams Posted: 12/1/2006 8:28:15 PM | Whispering Dreams
A dreaming chance of love anew; how I wonder… Flowing fields of raging streams Seizing hopes now torn asunder. Days of shattered whispering dreams, Full of tears and heartache under A sky of jaded wanton themes.
Across these dreary fractured skies Her beauty sings a sparkling song, For years held in her sweet disguise; At last a tune that can’t be wrong. Whilst my heart joins her in reprise, It's clear our love will soon belong.
My whispering dreams are finally breached By a tender loving maiden fair; Who for so long could not be reached Nor seen across the gloomy air. For her angelic eyes so long I’ve preached To settle my heart's wretched despair.
Now holding her within my gaze The dampened skies at last can shine… And the field of streams no longer sways, As my broken heart is now benign. Each night her tender song replays, And my whispering dreams are now divine.
