I have just made some toast. There that's it, nothing else, just thought you'd like to know

EDIT - No not really

Whilst I was making toast I was thinking how nice it is that my son has left home. He was a fussy lil so and so, and as such would only eat thick, sliced white bread (baker unimportant). And now I buy nice bread, that I like.

So do you buy bread to suit the tastebuds of somebody else in your household? Do you buy 3 different loaves to suit all tastes and end up throwing half of all of them away? Do you make your own?

Or do you never eat bread at all?

Can't believe that I'm gonna post a reply to this pointless thread !!

Just to say tho, that me and my daughter love fresh Tiger bread, and when we are in Sainsbury's, whoever suggests buying it has to do that dance that Mud did - to Tiger Feet.

^^^^^^^ Me too Snaarf - A Warburtons seeded batch is my preferred loaf. And you can get them in half loaves so I dont waste any!!! Lovely with a bit of smoked salmon - beautiful.

However, I have just had common or garden white toast with pate for lunch. Just what I fancied.

I like thin sliced bread. I prefer the ratio of filling to bread to be somewhere like 10:1.

Loads of meat, loads of salad, plenty of mayo wrapped up with as little bread as possible. Mmmmm

i am hooked on hovis extra thick now. it makes great toast and it also avoids wasting bread as there are less slices but the slices are doorsteps.

Okay, are you ready for this? This could be a long read.

I am partial to a bit of Ciabatta warm out the oven, drizzled with olive oil served with antipasto.

Recently discovered Tesco's white organic freshly baked loaf, thick slice wth some butter is delicious.

For toast I like Vogels, any variety, it is all good.

New York Bagels raisin and cinnamon are good sliced in half, toasted and buttered, yummy for breakfast or with a cup of tea.
