In an interview with CTV News, Wuite says when officers arrived they found two people dead at the nightclub.

****He says a third man who was injured later died in hospital. Wuite says a fourth person is in hospital in serious condition.

Police have made no arrests and Wuite says investigators are still interviewing witnesses.

Good Lord!

omg - I have been listening to NY Radio - but I just found this on ctv news.com

Police received a call about 2:30 a.m. Sunday from a lounge at 100 Avenue and 105 St., Edmonton police spokesman Jeff Wuite told CTV Newsnet. The call reported shots fired.

When police arrived at the scene, they found two adult male victims dead. Another male later died in hospital.

There are several more people being treated at hospital, Wuite said. One man is in serious condition and "all other injuries are considered to be minor."

No suspects are in custody.

A major investigation is underway now, involving patrol and tactical officers who were on the scene, as well as the homicide and gang units.

Wuite said about 20 witnesses are now being interviewed. "It's a full-fedged investigation at this point and I'm sure we will have more information soon."

105st - is that the club in that hotel? Thats the one where gangs have been known to hang out. good god - can't even go out and try to have fun with friends anymore - so many jerks and ***holes out there carrying guns.
NO suspects in custody - and unless there was security video - probly wont be. These gangs in edmonton has everyone scared, especially when they see something. Whats going to happen, is there is going to be a revenge shooting - and probly innocent bystanders hurt or even worse, killed.
Bet their guns were not registered.

What the hell is going on in this world is that people have no morals, scrupples or regard for human life anymore...everything including life has become easy come easy go....sad

I have been on a 4 year media freeze-out. Some people think I am ridiculous. "What? You don't turn on your TV?" But it is things like this that affirm my reasoning. I HATE waking up to news like this. Seemingly innocent life wasted. Honestly, I may not be up to date on politics or...well...everything is political, but I am a happier person!! I am WAY too empathetic, way too sensitive, and bad news can seriously ruin my day. Good thing today already sucked!

Humans are despicable. Barbaric. If we did away with social structure they'd have nothing to rebel against...yet...nothing to answer to either. Double edged sword. Stricter laws? Or stronger bars?

I believe that humans have always been this way, but when there were fewer people on the planet.

Now it encroaches on our lives, in our living rooms and it cannot be ignored.

I read the paper (okay only really read the broadsheet during election times) and watch the evening news as I do want to know what is going on.

Understandably, weaning through the propaganda is challenging, but for me I choose not to ignore it.

I am not street smart, more book smart, so I need to know these things.

I wonder if the planet is starting to implode?

Can we collect EI?

I mean, living on Uranus is pretty pricey these days.

Can we at least get a full month notice?

I mean i heard Mars is a pain to get a place to live nowadays, gota go on waitlist to find a place. It's dry as hell and that red glow gets to you!

And who wants to live on the moon? I mean the moon is like the Inglewood of the planets, well aside the fact that it isnt even a planet..but whose asking?

EDIT; Batgirl....get out of my head this morning!

I completely understant book smart vs. life smart. I am 'life inept' but I can paint you a picture in 1000 words or less. I simply cannot comprehend nor justify the needless taking of life, and I simply cannot understand how some people feel it is their right to do so.

EI cheques cannot be mailed to Uranus...Canada Post workers will start shooting...

"Uranus" still makes me giggle...

Update....gang related.

How surprising is that?

I got the inside story (or bits of it) from someone who has a passing acquaintance with the victims.

Apparently, it is just a taste of what is to come, there was bits and pieces in the media last week about an impending turf war (or wars) due to the booming economy.
Think I'll be hanging out in the country for a while...

weezy..u live north of red deer...ull be fine

as for the night clubs...im 26 now and I only go to 25 and up clubs...lounges are the worse because there are usually just one doorman if any and hes not a professional, he just some tall lanky guy in casual clothes, I will never step into one of those esp. if its a place where the crowd is young (under 25) non-whites...

I used to insure a lot of nightclubs and the claims were not property related....they were liabilty suits due to injuries perpetrated on the patrons by the patrons.

Frightening.

This might sound a bit wacky, but I am almost more nervous to be hanging out in a mall parking lot than in a club (well, I'm too old to be in most of those clubs, anyways )
Last time I was at Chinook Mall, I couldn't get over how many young guys there were cruising in those cars( you know what kind I mean..), just around and around...a few of them in a car...now maybe the more intelligent of you will tell me they were just looking for a good parking spot or for their gf's to come outta the mall, but I trust my spidey senses as I get older and my vibe was I don't wanna be in places like that much anymore...things are just so random now...

I wonder, if there are enough bouncers, would they be willing to escort a female to her car to ensure her safety?

Well, it frightens peeps when I show up to a pub or nightclub. They think I am there to frisk for concealed weapons (!)

Still, even a masked avenger needs help every once in a while eh?
