What are you local pizza favorites(not counting the franchizes)
Mine is a place called Martini's. The owner is from the old school and all the food is homemade. The pizza is to die for and so are their sandwiches and lasagna mmmmmmm.

| Best Pizza Place in Your Hometown Posted: 11/6/2006 2:33:06 PM | Best pizza is Grandfathers Pizza in Brigden Ont.
Gary, the owner let me make my own pizza, when he was located in Corunna.
If ever you find yourself in Brigden, be sure to stop and have yourself the best pizza
ever made.
We use to play darts there and he also sponsored us in the Sarnia Pub Dart League.
Want to challenge Gary to a game of darts? Be warned, he is really good.

| Best Pizza Place in Your Hometown Posted: 11/6/2006 2:51:00 PM | | When I was young. God fathers pizza was thick with lots of toppings. Now pizza is thin and lacks a good topping. I am always disappointed with pizza now days. Caseys is the best around where I live. No family owned places around here. (If you want good pizza you got to make it your self.) | |

| Best Pizza Place in Your Hometown Posted: 11/6/2006 4:08:34 PM | When I was growing up in the San Jose/Santa Clara, California area Vesuvio's Pizzeria was always where we went. I remember a couple of times a month my dad would stop there on his way home from work and bring home pizza for the family, then when him and mom could corral all the kids up we would eat there.
Its been in business since 1956 and is still family owned.
They make real Italian Style Pizza and it's the best i've ever had anywhere.
I still go in a have a Vesuvio's Pizza whenever i'm in the area.

| Best Pizza Place in Your Hometown Posted: 11/7/2006 8:58:12 PM | Being from NJ I am spoiled when it comes to pizza because until you have had pizza from either NJ or NYC you havent had pizza - we are probably the pickiest pizza eaters in the world because there are so many fantastic places to get the tastiest NY style and thin crust pizza - I wont even order pizza when I travel out of the area because they just cant compete with what we are used to here in the northeast | |

| Best Pizza Place in Your Hometown Posted: 11/8/2006 11:11:56 AM | MELTING POT!!! In Front Royal, Virginia.
It is one of the best pizza's I have ever had. Real thin, crispy crust but it doesnt have a crust around the edge (all the toppings go right to the edge of the pie). The they cut it across, so you end up with all these little squares. Friggin unbelievable.
And for you people that put that crushed red pepper on you pizza when you eat it, you can order the pie with "Pizazz" sauce, which is their red sauce with olive oil and red pepper in it. It kicks a$$!!
Pair that Pizza with a couple pitchers of cold suds, OOOO baby! Now thats a meal!

| Best Pizza Place in Your Hometown Posted: 12/1/2006 8:37:31 AM | I have to agree being from NJ... There is no comparison... I just returned from a visit with the "Family" & of course one of the things I had to indulge in was Pizza..It was yummy... If you are in Northern NJ... go to "Original Italian Pizza" in Washington Township or "Ray's Original NY Pizza" in the Village... then of course when I'm @ home I make my own... It's lowfat, Whole Wheat & is very Delicious. Of course I also had to have Chinese, Sushi, Lupini beans, Broccoli Rabe & Bagels & Lox... no, not all @ once... Didn't gain & didn't lose... I held my own... I like it... Had to pass on the Italian pastries... Ha, there will be a next time ... going up again in March or April... I will need clothes... they don't have s#@t down here. I'll be thinner then as well... Isn't Life Grand? Bon Appetit.... Lisa | |
