| why do people add you to their favorites and never contact you?
Posted: 10/29/2006 7:45:20 PM | | i never saw the big deal about people adding to favorites and not contacting ya. Its like being in the mall...and someone smiles at you. Chances are...you don't talk to them.....and likely never will...but the gesture was made. | |

adding someone to my favs but not contacting them is the same as making eye contact and smiling at someone in a bar. if they return the interest, then i might slide a few tools over and say hi.
more than once, a woman has noticed that i added her, showing i was interested... and she in turn added me and i took that as a sign to contact her.
sometimes, like when a woman has an email age restriction a couple of years younger than my age, this is perhaps the only way for me to show an interest.
i dont always like to make the first move... so the favorites feature can be fun. think of it as a cyber wink.

I have people on my fav's list that I don't email regularly or if ever... but I'm learning about them, and have enjoyed what they've posted in the the forums. Or people I've made friends with and or see regularly at events etc.,
I agree with HoT should be a compliment. | |

I whole-heartedly agree! I'm not always confident enough to make the first move...so the favorites feature is a way of expressing interest. | |

I usually give someone a few days to make contact after they have added me and if they don't I remove them. Infact I just deleted everyone that has added me, I figure if they can't be bothered to send a message then they don't need to tag along. | |

Posted: 10/29/2006 9:14:59 PM | | I got put on the favorites of a couple of people and emailed them to ask them why. I am still on a couple of them for some reason but they choose not to talk to me. Another one we talk all the time now as I seem to work as a part time shrink on this thing. | |
